We stopped in not knowing you needed to book (due to school holidays) and the staff were kind enough to find us a table. We were only visiting the city for a few days and really wanted to visit. This didn't disappoint. We had some toasted sandwiches, teas and cake. It was delicious and reasonably priced. There is a £2 per person cover charge per person per hour but considering the selection of games this is well worth it. We really had great fun.

This is my happy place, it’s a super chill and fun atmosphere, the food is great, staff are friendly and helpful and the board game selection is brill!

My partner and I visited Sugar and Dice board game café on a Sunday during a weekend break to Liverpool. We had a really lovely afternoon at the café. They have a brilliant selection of games - loads to choose from a range of genres. The cafe also has great coffee, delicious cake and a fab range of main lunch/sandwich items too. A huge highlight of the trip was Natasha, who was incredibly attentive, helpful, welcoming and friendly. Despite it being fairly busy when we arrived and Natasha having many customers to prepare and serve food and drinks to, the service was great and the quality of everything we ordered was spot-on. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking to have a fun and relaxing afternoon or evening with friends/family.

Huge variety of games! From the biggies like stardew valley (which I only opened and then ran away in terror. So many components!) to tiny games like cobra paw.
I had meant to get a milkshake as they're supposed to be great but I got too stuck into my games for the 2 hours. Will have to come back!

Discovered by accident on holiday and both we and kids absolutely loved it. Very welcoming, great selection of games for all ages and abilities. Delicious milkshakes!

Sugar and Dice is a little gem, with super friendly staff, a gigantic collection of board games, and delicious food and drinks. It is the perfect place for a chill afternoon/evening with friends, as they are open till quite late every day.

Really lovely atmosphere! So many games to choose from and it’s so cheap to stay in there ! Loved it!! Milkshake I ordered wasn’t amazing a bit flavourless however overall it was super nice experience for a little date day and will definitely be returning.

I'm looking for something different for a hen night, it's ok we're all a bit older, but I should think we'll still want a drink and a laugh and there'll be ten plus. Is this a good idea?

Hi Lesley,
We would love to host you ladies! We have had lots of hen parties and everyone's had a lovely time. We do serve alcohol and we can teach you all games too. With around ten people it will mostly be party games and we can set all that up for you. We can also make special cakes/ themed cupcakes etc if requested. We would recommend you book a table in advance to avoid disappointment.
