Went here on a trip to Liverpool as I’m a huge John Lennon fan and this was his favourite pub before he was in the Beatles. Proper old school pub. Lovely people we met but if you’re not thick skinned, you could be in for...More

A great boozer any time of the year but it really comes into its own when the sun's out. Always changing selection of ales. Check it out.

Can not be faulted. The staff are lively and chatty, the regulars are friendly and there is always a lovely atmosphere. A true community pub.

We popped in for a last drink 5 mins before closing time. Atmospheric old place with plenty of effing and blinding by some scousers but that adds to the ambience. However, what put us off was the barman calling time ti just us and saying...More
