Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I wouldn’t go on my own. There’s a road sign to take your picture with, but the rest of the road need some explanation o really appreciate the lyrics. A bus tour would be most effective

What a great spot to stop for photos. We were on a bus tour and were able to stop by the Penny Lane Street Sign for photo ops. Then we saw the firehouse and the barber shop and all of the wonderful things described in this famous Beatle's song.

With its Beatles connections namely the song, bus loads of tourists beat a trail to Penny Lane mostly to get a photo took with the street sign, yes I get it but Penny Lane is more than just a street sign, two of my favourite pubs are along Penny Lane namely The Penny Lane Pub and The Dovedale Towers Pub, great pubs offering a warm welcome and serving great beers, you also have a nice green area in Penny Lane Millennium Green plus St Barnabas Church were Paul McCartney sang in the church choir, its a vibrant street ,most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Liverpool and remember it's more than just a street sign.

Penny Lane is the road made globally famous by The Beatles and it's a must-see part of any visit. What you will find is a normal British street. After all, The Beatles were just local lads made good.

You can drive down the road and tick off the landmarks from the song, but the stop everyone makes is for a photograph with the signs.

There are several, obviously, but the most famous is protected behind glass as it is covered in signatures, including Paul McCartneys after he visited with James Corden from the Late Late Show for 'Carpool Karaoke'. If you haven't seen it, look it up on YouTube, it's an amazing piece of film.

Anyway, back to the magical mystery tour. We visited in June and it was just a quiet English Street, with loads of space to park and not too many people. It's also a really nice place to wander.

Some may say, it's only a street, but I bet you can hear the song in your head right now. Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes....

For that reason alone, it's a must-see
