    Walkabout
This whole area has been so well refurbed. It was less than perfect weather but still lots to look at including various statues, memorials, and a selection of locks left by ‘000’s of people on he chain link fence. Lots of shops

    A very large docks
We parked well in John Lewis’s car park and simply walked through the bus depot to the docks. This is definitely an important tourist spot and multi cultured. All around were well restored buildings and clean water. These rocks are very big compared to others we have seen in Ipswich and London so one needs to be very selective about what to see. We chose the Maritime Museum and a general walk about.

    Liverpool Royal Albert Dock ROCKS
Strolling along the Mersey Riverfront and along the "love" locks chains that protect the walking path, leads you to the Royal Albert Dock, a fun place of many small specialty shops and restaurants serving a variety of food choices. Lots to see and do here. They also have food trucks and even an ice cream truck. This is where many of the tour buses stop too.

Liverpool Pictures - best place for souvenirs
Liverpool Pictures in Albert Dock has top quality pictures and decor items for your own home and gifting. This great gallery offers quality at affordable prices, best place for souvenirs you will be proud to display. Apart from all of this the service is outstanding. Even in the midst of the fabulous mayhem of Eurovision the staff went above and beyond.

    A beautiful place
It’s a beautiful place, lots of food shops and a good crowd. Really worth to visit. You can easily spend your most time by walking around dock. Seeing museums, water ride which cost you £8.

A good place for a stroll
The docks in Liverpool used to be very big and stretch for miles and miles. This has al changed over the years. But the Royal Albert Dock is still there with some old buildings and nice places to visit. It is close to the city center of Liverpool and certainly within walking distance. If nothing else, it is a nice walk along the water. But if interested there are small shops, bars and restaurants. It can be a bit breezy of course. But in all it is a nice place to visit. It is of course one of the stops on the hop on/hop off bus

    Serene & peaceful!
It is such a peaceful place with the interesting love-locks some of which are so old... the sunset is amazing and one could just sit there and relax in the noiseless atmosphere forever! A cap/ hat or sunglasses would be necessary for those who dont want the sun in their eyes. All in all....a must to visit the Docks in Liverpool!

So many restaurants and attractions within this dock you can see why it is so popular, I can imagine in the warmer months it would be packed.

Having stayed at numerous Premier Inn hotels in the past...we booked into the Albert Dock hotel which was very disappointing.
There was a queue to book in where there were additional staff in the rear office that could have assisted.
Parking was. 7 minute walk away from the hotel which would have made it difficult to walk along the cobbled pavements... especially if it rains.
Room was dated with a small table top TV.
Rooms had holes in the wall, marks on the furniture, stains on the carpet, table chair and even on the duvet cover!!!
The headboard was greasy and dirty with the heating unit being loud.
We had to use wipes in order to be able to stay within the room.
Informed the staff at reception where they agreed that the hotel needed an upgrade and could not apologise enough.
The docks and city were pleasant enough with sufficient shops and entertainment.

Visiting Liverpool we wanted to see the renowned Albert Dock probably the centre point of the city’s regeneration.

Around the dock there are a few Museums, the Maritime, the Liverpool Museum and located within it the Tate Liverpool.

We’re guessing that following its regeneration the Dock was a busy and thriving place to visit. Unfortunately it wasn’t what we were expecting.

The Tate is currently closed for 2 years due to refurbishment, the other businesses around the dock are generally either souvenir shops or restaurants, we guess with the economic downturn, with it being in February the undoubted busy-ness that will return in the Summer months was somewhat lacking.

This place is wonderful. So much to see and do. You will need to make several visits. The history is amazing, and it was nearly demolished!!!!
Plenty of food and drink choices. Several museums too.
This is a MUST visit if you come to Liverpool.

Visited Rudy's Albert Dock! We were asked which pizza we wanted to order but not a drink, we asked for drinks but when they arrived the wine was red not white! Sent it back then got a glass of white! One pizza arrived and we could smell burning but still the other one didn't arrive until more than five minutes after the first! First pizza was very soggy and second very burnt! Not a good experience after having such good results in both Manchester venues! Wouldn't eat here again as staff couldn't care less and food was very below par! Such a shame after a good day out in Liverpool! Best stick to Manchester in future ( which we will do in early February) !

Staying close to the Albert Dock, enjoyed a good walk around the area. A very impressive place steeped in history and architecture. The old buildings were incredible and it is wonderful how they have been transformed and rescued from dereliction. The Warfs and docks, will all the boats etc are fascinating. The Maritime Museum is worth a visit. Plenty of places to see, eat and drink along the way...
