At Merseyside Maritime Museum you can explore the history of the great port of Liverpool, with four floors of galleries: Seized! The Border and Customs uncovered; the Emigration gallery; Liverpool: World Gateway; the Titanic, Lusitania and Empress of Ireland gallery; the Battle of the Atlantic; the Art and the Sea Gallery; and the temporary exhibition space. The museum also includes the 2010 Michelin Guide-listed Maritime Dining Rooms, a café, shop and lecture theatre.

Excellent lay out with very interesting exhibits throughout from slavery to ships which reflect the citys heitage. Great cafe at the top too!

If you have a 1-2 hours to spend you should visit this museum. A good story about the Titanic and Luisatania. There was also a section about the slavery sale and Liverpool story. Free entrance.

there's plenty of interactive exhibits, plus the usual hidden item trail you get in museums. not sure about crafty things as I wasn't really looking for them, but there should be plenty to keep them entertained
