Have spent many happy hours in this park during the last 40 years. I know it like the back of my hand and it's beautiful. The mansion house is currently in the process of being refurbished as a resource for the community, which will only...More

Calderstones Park is a beautiful park situated in south Liverpool's suburbs. It is an excellent place for taking a stroll. There are normally plenty of people with children and dog walkers but there are also plenty of time when it is quiet and tranquil. I...More

So lovely to have a Boxing Day walk round the park lots of families, dog walkers and others just enjoying the mild weather and admiring the trees and greenery. A shame to see that large part of the site is up for converting to housing,...More

Have been going to Calderstones since I was a child and I am now 62! My greatest pleasure going the past couple of years has been with my grandsons. The Storybarn is a fantastic place for them. There is a lovely play area for them,...More

I never tire of visiting this park - it's dog friendly (the cafe even serves dog sausages and doggy icecream), the people you meet are firndly and it is well kept.

I love this park - so many memories of student days. Apparently the council want to sell it/part of it off to build houses. I am already signed up to oppose this! Lovely duck pond and watch out for the Allerton Oak.

Lovely park for having a wander around or a jog. Features an Old English Garden (a bit too encumbered with benches 'in memory of Mr & Mrs...') and Japanese garden which is a little overgrown. I was shocked to hear they are planning to build...More

South Liverpool park, (bus 86 out of the city), quieter than Sefton Park. Large, tranquil, landscaped, lovely spot for dog walking.

I took my granddaughter here twice during a recent visit to Liverpool. It's a lovely park, lots of wide, open spaces and a good play park area with lots of things to occupy children of all ages. The cafe is good, too. I hope the...More

Calderstones is more than a park. It has beautiful lawns, flowers and exotic plants, so truly is a park with swings and roundabouts for children but it has more to offer than that. There's a place where kids can read, a baby club, a book...More
