Amazing place, stunning views from the top floor, best facility in the city. The staff are very helpful and the events put on really open the place up to people who wouldn't normally think of going there

We were aware that there is a viewing platform and took advantage of this during a flying visit to Liverpool. Not what you would expect inside, far more modern in design .The library was very busy ,good to see .A brilliant facility for anyone in the area .

Although I didn't have time to sit and read, it looks like a wonderful place to hang out. The modern section is light and airy, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay. I thought at first that this was it. Asked the librarian, and she told me to start at the top (great views) and work my way down,... More

When you enter you see the modern part of it, which will probably take some breath away, afterwards go to the old wooden rooms filled with books where you´ll feel like you travelled back in time.

Lovely building with a little coffee shop down stairs and equipped meeting rooms available to hire at reasonable rates. Visit the Picton Reading room on the 1st floor for a step back in time! Enjoy the view from the city viewing platform on the top floor.

Well worth visiting, even for the modern atrium alone. Busy place with lots of people using the library and its facilities. During a city break visited and was impressed at how busy it was. Enjoyed rambling around and the easy access to modern and Victorian architecture. Read a magazine for an hour and got a feel for the place. Well... More
