You cannot visit Liverpool without seeing the beautiful buildings here, it will be a wonderful sight when the cruise terminal is opened.

On our recent trip to Liverpool we stayed close to Pier Head as that gives a focal point to many visits you want to make. Close by are the Museum if Liverpool, the Beatles Story, the British Musical Exhibition (in the Cunard building) and lots...More

What a pleasure to be able to walk comfortably among these historic buildings. Particularly appreciated the Commonwelt War Grave Commission monument to Royal Navy sailors (many drafted from Merchant Navy for the Duration) who were lost at sea and, self-evidently, have no known grave.

This area became our evening walk over the weekend we visited The Beatles Experience. Taking in the sights and sounds of the Mersey - every time we passed we noticed something new about the architecture.

Lovely walk along the river with stunning architecture probably dating back to when Liverpool was one of the biggest ports in the world.

To anyone who remembers the Pier Head in the heyday of the Mersey Ferries, a visit today brings mixed emotions. Gone is the service to New Brighton, and the independant services to Woodside and Seacombe, the dock railway passing across the area and the opportunity...More
