Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Chris our guide & Simon our driver were very friendly, informative & funny. They made my brothers 60th birthday trip very enjoyable & nothing was too much trouble in getting him in his wheelchair on/off the bus. The music was great too

We had only one day in Liverpool, but this private, customized tour got us into all the sites we wanted to see. Our tour guide, Dave Tarbuck is a lifelong Liverpool resident and was able to answer all of our arcane questions. We started with Ringo's and George's childhood homes, followed by Paul’s and John’s boyhood homes – both part of the National Trust. We next visited Penny Lane including the barbershop, and St. Peter’s Church where a young Paul McCartney met a young John Lennon. It is also where Eleanor Rigby is buried. We had lunch at Strawberry Fields and finished up with a tour of the Casbah Club, where the Beatles truly started. This part of the tour was conducted by expert David Bedford and tells the story of how the Beatles went from a makeshift club in a suburban housewife’s basement to Shea Stadium in six years. Truly fascinating and likely more educational than the bigger bus tours. Highly recommended if you have the budget.

Book this tour with David Bedford! Others can show you around Liverpool, but his love and knowledge of the Beatles, and their city, are apparent. We took the 6 hour tour (which flew by) and immersed ourselves into the world of the early Beatles.

Don't just pass John and Paul's houses on a yellow bus. Get out...go in...play piano in Paul's living room like I did! Stand in John's bedroom... on and on.
Most tours do not go to the Casbah Club, a special slice of Beatles history.

David and driver Ian were a blast to spend the day with, and we highly recommend you book this tour!

I grew up in the 60's and 70's listening to the likes of Motown and the Beatles, and have always been a big fan. After many trips to the UK over the years, I finally made it to Liverpool and booked a Beatles tour with this outfit and it was FANTASTIC! I honestly can't say enough good things about what an amazing experience this was. It really was the Beatles music come to life in the songs 'Penny Lane', 'Eleanor Rigby', and 'Strawberry Fields Forever', and in seeing how very big a part Liverpool played in their music and lives together. We did a 3-hour private, black cab tour and it was perfect. The time flew by as we took in some of the most famous Beatles locales in the city, and even a few things we never expected to see. Our driver/guide was Joe and he was awesome, giving us so many backstories of the group and their music that we'd never heard before--by all means ask for him! This is simply a must for any Beatles fan and well worth the trip to "Liddypool". PS - Note that tour fees are cash only, no cards.

Myself and my Wife booked a tour last week and we had an amazing time, our guide who unfortunately I can't remember his name, was amazing and showed us all the amazing Beatles spots we have read about. The tours of John and Paul's houses was an added bonus. We also has the pleasure of touring the Casbah Club which was fantastic. Any Beatles fan should give this tour a try, it was a great way to spend a day in Liverpool...

Professional, extremely knowledgeable. David’s insight is keen. If you are a true Beatle fanatic and want a personal one-on-one tour with a published author on the Fab Four, this is the only tour you will ever need.

Walk through Beatles history!
My daughter and I took the 3 hour tour with Joey and the time flew by! It was so much fun to hear all the stories- and Joey knows everyone in Liverpool that is connected to the Beatles. We even got to meet Colin Hanton, who was the original drummer in John Lennon’s band The Quarry Men.
And we met him on Penny Lane!
Also saw the church hall where John and Paul met, and inside story of what happened. Great tour for either the Beatles geek, or someone with casual knowledge. We were both highly engaged and learned so much.

Excellent service, excellent tour guide giving plenty of information in a friendly manner. Lots of information about the city and it's history. Good music to keep all the bus passengers singing along to the great Beatles songs.
