I've been in few trips with Busybus, and all of them ended up being amazing! Our recent guide was Shelly and she was so knowledgable and entertaining that it made our day! The group was so friendly and lovely as well which made it even more enjoyable. I could not recommend Busybus more, it's just so obvious that they are doing their job with passion and love which makes them stand out. I can guarantee you it won't disappoint you.

I would highly recommend this company as the service before, during, and after the tour was amazing.
I was on a cruise ship and booked my own excursion for the port of Holyhead, Wales.
Our cruise ship got in very late and this company was so accommodating and waited for everyone.
Our tour guide and driver were the best. I could tell that he loved his town and was jumping up and down with excitement to share his town with tourists.
Now, this is why I would recommend this tour company:
We were supposed to arrive at 8 am and have a bus tour from 8 to 4 pm. The cruise ship (Carnival Pride) docked late and took forever to get everyone off the ship. They also wanted everyone back on the ship by 3:15 pm. That meant that some of the tours were from 12:15 - 3:15 pm, NOT 8- 4 pm.
The company offered us vouchers for another free bus tour as they felt they had not been able to offer us the advertised product.

Overall the service was very good. Clean buses and the drivers were very friendly. However I do feel a little cheated, I made an error with booking and booked a day later. I emailed to change the dates and I was charged £400 extra, I was told this was to pay for the drivers accommodation and downtime. At first I thought this was fair enough but found out the drivers didn’t stay over. In fact they returned back to base so no extra petrol was used and I was lied too about the extra charge for accommodation and downtime. Although I was very happy with the service I feel I was taken advantage of as I would have struggled to book another bus within the time remaining before required date. Although I take responsibility for booking the wrong initial date I would not book again due to an extortionate charge of £400 when it wasn’t used for accommodation, I feel they should refund the extra charge.

We have looked into this and contacted you directly. The extra charge was not £400 (that was the total charge) and we did not "lie". Legislation meant driver changes and hotels were used as demonstrated.
Thank you for the 4 stars but it is a shame the review and circumstance detail is so inaccurate and could mislead future clients.

We are not too keen on guided tours but we heard that this tour was worth trying out.we. Hose the North Wales tour. It didn't disappoint. Our guide, Stewart, was very professional, drove us for ten hours, making it interesting throughout. The tour itself is well thought out. Frequent stops, interesting POVs, which we felt made the tour more than worth the money we paid. Great experience!

Despite the heavy rain we had to wrestle on our trip, Stuart made our day in the Lake District incredibly fun and informative. He put on quite a performance as a DJ, story-teller, historian and skilful driver (on a scale from 1-10, he's an 11!)! My wife and I cannot wait to return to Liverpool to go on the BusyBus trip to Snowdonia (we certainly hope Stuart would be our guide!). Thank you, Stuart, for an amazing trip!

Our day trip to the Lake District from Chester was absolutely an unique and memorable experience. We enjoyed the views of the rugged mountains, green hills and meadows with uncountable sheep, the drives through the winding roads passing by traditional English cottages and an unforgettable walk through the mountains along a small lake. We had enough time to enjoy strolling through the village of Grasmere , and bought some lovely Peter Rabbit souvenirs as the Lake District is the area where the world famous watercolorist and writer Beatrice Potter used to live. Full praise to our guide Frank who not only provided us with historical and recent facts about the area, but is a real enjoyable human being who made the trip into a incredible experience!!

Just a follow up to the response from Team BusyBus' Guest Relations Manager, to our reviews of the North Wales 16 seater bus trip from Chester ....which was in a nearly full approx 44 seat bus in June 2024.
Very disappointing to read false information from the Manager in his response to our reviews. Yes a half refund was requested due to not being taken on the advertised 16 seater (on some websites we have noticed that this 16 seater is now not advertised from Chester, since our tour date). Another paid tour was offered but sadly not practical as we were leaving Chester the next day, and soon after that, the UK. All that was really needed was an explanation prior to the trip of a 16 seater not being used, and an acknowledgement of the existing advertising of the 16 seater experience.
We did not request colour of bus or particular seats!! or demand a refund or threaten with a poor review. Such false statements .... so disappointing to think a company would print such statements.
Our disappointment was, that it wasn't what we booked, no contact made to explain and no acknowledgement from the company .....when they had actually advertised themselves having such great small bus experiences from Chester. Many people's reviews actually express this.
Our guide Gerry was fantastic ..but he certainly had to work harder on a big coach to try and create 'community' in a large group which included approx 20 school students. Well done Gerry and driver! I know Gerry usually drives and guides on the 16 seater experience from Chester. Please know we valued your wonderful input on the day.

The whole day was amazing from start to finish. Considering we did not think it would happen due to the snow . Our driver / tour guide. (Frank) was amazing fun and full of knowledge. And a very skilled driver . Who got us to the Lake District and back safe and sound considering it was snowing and he was unaware of what we may face. He already had a back up plan, but lucky enough for all on board. The weather held off. We got snow but not stranded.
Amazing experience and highly recommend to others. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a lovely Sightseeing tour. We were a big group and enjoyed this all through the end. Tour manager Mr Frank (as always) has been a great tour guide. He ensures no one's is bored in the long bus rides and provides useful information from the locality, historical importance of places and what to expect. Just Brilliant. With this tour I'm done with all the available Busybus tours from Chester. Next would probably be a private tour. Thank you Busybus and thank you Mr Frank. Cheers.

My husband and I just took the Liverpool to Northern Wales tour. We had such a wonderful time that I’m already looking into other BusyBus tours! Adrian, our guide, told us that there were three items that make a great day tour: a wonderful place to visit, good weather, and good company, I would like to add a 4th—having an excellent guide! His commentary, jokes, and all-around ease with which he guided us did make for a perfect day (along with the first three criteria). Northern Wales is simply stunning, and we were lucky to have someone give us all the information we needed to really appreciate what we saw. There’s also no way we would have been able to see everything that we did, traveling between each destination, on our own. So thank you to Adrian and to BusyBus for a wonderfully perfect day!

So I see that you have a shore excursion offer that leaves Liverpool at 8:30 AM, but on the day we're there on the Regal Princess on September 28, we don't dock until 9:30 AM. Do you make any special adjustments for different cruise ship arrival times/dates? Your about.5-hour tour would fit into the in-port time of 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM that the Regal is supposed to be there. Thanks.

You can bring luggage with you but during the online booking process please mention in the COMMENTS box: "We will have luggage with us."
You should wear your normal day-to-day all weather shoes or trainers. No special footwear is required. Simply dress to suit the weather.

hi, yes,should not be a problem.there are stops where you could stay in the van,or only walk a few yards,in my tour there was a traveller who stayed most of the time in bus proximity area.some stops you.cam make.the walk as long as you.like.

We took 2 tours with Busybus. Both pick ups at the railway station however first pick up was a van the second was a bus so could be either. There are other tours leaving from here as well.

The bus seated about 18-20 people. I don't know what the cost would be from Holyhead. We went from Liverpool to Wales, Snowden & Conwy Castle and the cost was SOOO reasonable. We had a REALLY good tour and the guides were very nice and easy to work with. I would contact them for price.
