Away from the main tourist action, this former religious meeting hall now hosts an array of independent shopping. An ideal destination for anyone in the market for local designer wear, accessories, vintage and retro clothing. If open, it's worth taking a look upstairs at the wonderful former Methodist arena.

We watched A Christmas Carol here in this fabulous theatre by Adenuf Productions. Our 4 year old loved it. Scrooge was played exceptionally well as was Bob Cratchet. Really got us in the Christmas Spirit. Well done all involved.

I am a big fan of A Christmas Carol having a copy of the superlative version from 1951 with Alastair Sim and I have read the book many times. So it was with great gleeful anticipation that I went to see a theatre production of it at the Grand Central Hall. Now first of all who knew that the Grand... More

Found this on tripsdvisor as place to see in Liverpool , that it is, if I am right it's a former church, converted in the 80s to a niteclub and now used as shops/ retail units. Very quirky taste and audience being catered for here, but it's worth a look if passing by, it's free and very colourful.

I had no idea this place existed as someone told me Quiggleys closed down but seeing an article we headed here first on my most recent trip to Liverpool. Being leftfield this place has plenty to offer me with shops stocking punk, biker, vintage, hippy clothing, accessories, fancy dress/jokes and home decor items. You also have record shops, body art... More

GRAND CENTRAL HALL is an awesome looking building on the always busy and vibrant Renshaw Street. The building is very eye catching but it's the interior that is most striking with its unique fixtures and fitting and it's unusual alternative and querky cloths shops. There is also a theatre in here that hosts plays, theatre productions, comedy and the like and also... More

We popped in here on a recent trip as it was raining and it looked like an interesting place. We have the famous Oasis Market in Birmingham for alternative clothing/items but recently it has gone into selling more fashionable items. Grand Central is how this sort of place should be and puts the Oasis to shame. Interesting decor and a... More

The building is cool, the interior decoration was cool and unique. The majority of the stores were closed and did not have their hours posted. The one store that had the hours posted stated something along the lines of "1pm - 3pm-ish" (can't remember exactly). If you're in the area, it's cool to stop by for a quick picture and... More

The first attraction is the wonderful exterior of this Grade II listed building. Inside it is a maze of wonderfully quirky boutiques serving all tastes except the conventional. I understand there is also a theatre but we did not visit this.
