We took an all day tour and I can’t say enough good things! Dave was our guide - he was so knowledgeable and we just had the best day with him. I highly recommend this tour. Our tickets for John and Paul’s houses were purchased in advance and being able to actually go into the houses made for even a better day. The tour of the Casbah with Rogue was great!! We learned alot of things we didn’t know and we are huge Beatles fans.
Highly recommend this tour!

Took the tour as part of The Ultimate Beatles Package from the Hard Day’s Night Hotel. It was part of my brother’s surprise 70th birthday Beatles celebrations. Our guide Ian was superb - knowledgeable, entertaining, friendly- couldn’t ask for more. We are of course both huge Beatles fans, as clearly was Ian…Almost three hours of amazing memories - Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, St Peter’s Church in Woolton, all four boyhood homes…As good as it gets..👍👍

We always try and book our tours in advance, having read all previous tripadvisor review and how lucky were we! We got Ian Brown as our private taxi tour driver for 3m hours. We were picked up at The Hard Days Night Hotel where we were staying and taken on our “magical mystery tour”. Ian took us first to Ringos ni]eighbourhoodm so you could get a real feel of where the 4 lads from Liverpool came from. Next onto George, johns and Paul’s houses. We stopped at Penny Lane, strawberry fields and Eleanor Rigby's grave. We found it quite moving at times. The history, the families, their stories, real lads living in this area of Liverpool -destined to meet to form the greatest band of all time. Ian had old photos of their mums and dads and pictures of them outside the buildings we were stood in front of. Following in the footsteps of the boys was very profound. It was great fun too. Lots of facts thrown In as Ian was very Knowledgeable, but not bombarding us with info, just a gently 3 hours. We,were in and out of the taxi, couple of loo breaks along the way and a couple of shopping opportunities. It’s a brilliant trip, well worth the time spent doing it properly and enjoying the fun photos we did along the way

From the moment you meet Dave, it's clear that he is proud to show you his hometown and take you around all the major Beatles sites.

My wife and I enjoyed three hours in his company, listening to his stories of The Fab Four and his insights into Liverpool - and stopping at places the big bus tours do not visit.

For me, a private taxi tour is the best option, and Dave the ultimate guide.

Thank you, Dave

I received this taxi tour as a 70th birthday treat included in The Hard Days Night Ultimate Package.
From the moment my wife and I got into the taxi we felt like our driver Joey Lyons had been a part of our family for ages! He never stopped talking for 2 and three quarter hours, and was a font of knowledge for all things Beatle!!! We were take to iconic Beatles homes, Strawberry Field, Penny Lane and to the grave of Eleanor Rigby, inspiration for the iconic song. Along the way we learned so much about Liverpool: that the designer of the Anglican Cathedral was also the designer of the iconic Red telephone box!! Joey was great company and gave us plenty of time for photo stops and we can highly recommend his very entertaining tour. Even now 24 hours later our heads are still buzzing with the amount of information we received. If you are looking for a real 'salt of the earth' sort of guy who knows more about The Beatles than they probably knew then Joey is your man. Thank you Joey for giving us the trip of a lifetime!

Booked a Beatles weekend for my husbands birthday as part of the Magical Mystery Tour package at Hard Days Night Hotel. Recommended to scrap the bus tour and do a private taxi tour which the hotel booked for us the next day. It was amazing! Ian was so outgoing, friendly and knowledgeable and took us to every Beatles 'spot' including all of the houses they lived in. He would talk us through everything as he was driving, would play the relevant songs and had a book with all the pictures in from back of the day of wherever we were so it would take you back and let your imagination take over! Unlike the bus tour, we got out at every stop and he took our photos and we had a walk around which was lovely. We had a great time and would definitely recommend. Thanks Ian, you were amazing! X

Ian was our personal tour guide. Very knowledgeable! Almost a 3 hour tour of the homes where the Beatles grew up. Walk along Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. Visited St Peter Church and learned stories behind the songs. He took our pictures in front of the homes and was very knowledgeable. Best tour ever!

All we can say is Wow!! My husband is a Huge Beatles fan so rather than doing a cruise shore excursion with lots of people we chose this private tour. We had Dave as our guide and he was amazing. So knowledgeable with information that my husband loved hearing. While I am not as much of a fan, I also loved seeing and hearing about the early start of their lives. It gives you a good appreciation of all that happened to bring them together. Seeing their childhhood houses, visiting and hearing about the early start of the Casbah Cavern Club from Neil Aspinall's grandson, and visiting the Cavern Club were all highlights! Thank you Ian for organizing and thank you Dave for an amazing experience. It's been my husband's dream and one we'll never forget!

We got so much for our money with this personalized taxi tour of the major Beatles sites. Our tour guide Ian was so personable, knowledgeable, entertaining and passionate about his subject. He seemed to have a sixth sense for how to get ahead of the packed tour buses. We booked the tour through the Hard Days Night Hotel and couldn’t be happier that we did.
