I rode here as a teenager in the early 1980s and it gave me a lifelong love of riding. My teenage daughter started riding here today and really enjoyed it. The young woman who took the lesson was really friendly and professional and my daughter felt relaxed and confident and can’t wait to go again. Friendly environment and horses with a lovely temperament. Cater for all levels and well organised and welcoming. The photograph shows me in 1982 next to a picture of my daughter today.…

My daughter's have been riding at Croxteth since they were kids and they persuaded me to give it a go. I'm a reasonably fit man in my 60s with no experience of horses at all. Well I absolutely loved it. The staff are very patient, the setting is quiet and rural, but the best thing of course are the horses. I hadn't realised what character they have and what a bond you can form with them. Yes it's very physically demanding even for half an hour, but that's all part of the challenge. Me and my step-mum came here and the first one was great around croxteth forest! Today was my first lessons and although it was raining I learned a lot of stuff for a first lesson! My first horse was blue and my lesson horse was Tim and both were wonderful! I love it here and I give it a 5+ stars because it's a great horse riding school/centre. Wonderful staff too they are really nice and when you ask for their phone number they don't say ''oh just go to the website :/'' they write it down for you as well. They let you look at the lessons while they're gong on as well.…

I took my granddaughter as a birthday treat. She was fitted with boots and hat from a friendly and helpful member of staff. Erika was then led to her pony and was helped into the saddle by a younger volunteer. Off they went on a 45 minute walk. We had to wait for their return, so went for a short walk. On Erika's return, she was happy and said she loved it. Cost was £14, which I thought was reasonable. On site car parking and presume there was facilities, but we didn't use them. Friendly staff and beautiful horses and ponies.…
