Think history is boring? Get ready for a treat! Three hours with Laurence were full of sparkle, eccentricity, intellectual curiosities, and learning things you had no idea about, like Robert Fortune’s theft of tea plants from China on behalf of East India Company. See the...More

Another delightful guided wander through an attractive part of London - including a charming little street that I would never have found on my own. With the usual array of oddities and humour, engineers and scientists - many little-known but deserving of more attention, along...More

Quirky science-biased tour of the Woolwich Arsenal site. Fascinating history about an area of London that I knew little about despite being a Londoner.

Your kind words on Trip Advisor have just filtered through to me and are very pleasing. Thank you for taking the trouble to write them. I hope our paths may cross again. Laurence

I spent a very interesting afternoon in Bloomsbury, discovering some of the many, mostly forgotten, scientists, engineers, medics and polymaths who have lived or worked there over several centuries. Fascinating and entertaining.

I contacted Laurence since I was interested in a science tour in London. I was looking for something different, I searched online and he was the best option to book this tour. He was so approachable and available from the beginning, he understood very well...More

I love being taken to bits of London I didn't know existed, and shown things I would not have looked at - the ex-hospital-trolleys now used as railings in Fulham were a particular treat. Plus sometimes you get a biscuit or cake - all in...More

I've been on several of Laurence's walks. I like the quirkyness of the subject matter in his stories, and that we often find ourselves off the beaten track, so to speak. He clearly puts a lot of effort into his work and his enthusiasm definitely...More
