I went for the exhibition about the Enigma code breaking machine. They have one of the first which was built by the Polish to break the German coded messages. It was so interesting to learn how the Polish mathematicians first worked on breaking military codes. It's a lovely little museum dedicated to Poland's unique history. It's all free and just down the road from Hammersmith, so is well worth a visit if you are in the area. The Polish Institute is in King Street and is easy to find, then is just up on the second floor. The staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough to explain everything.

The museum is to be found on the second floor of the Polish Institute in King Street. It is a museum decicated to the memory of Polish General Josef Pidulski, who stopped the Russian advance at the little known Battle of Warsaw in 1920.At that time rated the 18th most important battle ever. There is an exhibition at the present time which is devoted to the Enigma machine. There is a replica model on display. The information in this museum is interesting, though it only took me 20 minutes to go round. So if you are in the area it is worth popping in for a look.Mainly open on Tues and Thursdays.

Really nice place for someone who want to learn something more about history, polish history but not only. Uniqe decor, pictures and antique furniture make me feel like in Pilsudski home :) A new exibition about Enigma is worth to see. And also kind and helpful staff!! Can't wait to see something more!
