Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Islington Green is a small , triangular bit of open space that stands in the apex of Essex Rd & Upper St. It is fairly full on a weekday with people eating their takeaway lunch. Probably not the healthiest option given the amount of traffic passing on both sides. Nothing special about the green - it has plenty of seats & some nice trees. However, it is a focal point , of sorts , for the area & from it you can see The Screen on The Green & the remaining dome of the old Electric cinema. Dozens of pubs & eateries are within range. One pointer to history is the statue of Sir Hugh Myddleton that sits at the pointed end of The Green. He was responsible for seeing through the completion of The New River which brought much needed fresh water to the area from 2 springs in Hertfordshire. His name is reflected in up - market Myddleton Square.

Islington Green was a small triangle of green where Upper Street met Essex Road and a patch of green in a trendy part of London. Islington was an interesting area more up-market than some with interesting restaurants and shops. A feature of the green was the statue of Sir Hugh Middleton, designer of the New river, a key part of London's water supply in the 17th century.

Islington Green is a lovely triangular green space in the heart of Islington. It’s a great central meeting point and has plenty of benches. The modern war memorial is very handsome and always beautifully planted.

Similar green areas will be found in many villages in England. This one is slightly unusual in that it is in central London. It is not worth a special trip although on a visit to Islington you are likely to walk through it.

Lots of benches here to sit and eat lunch amongst the mature trees. An impressive war memorial too. A good place to get some peace and quiet even though lots of traffic around.

Islington Green is only a short walk from Angel tube station. There are plenty of places nearby to get something to eat.
The green itself is a very nice place to sit and relax. Have something to eat or drink and also to read.
There is also a very unique war memorial.
If you need to unwind and you are in the area I would recommend a visit.

This Green is a treasure in this neighbourhood. Lots of people use it and it is clean and feels safe. Great that buskers come and go and add to the relaxed atmosphere. Love the beautiful war memorial in the park - one of the nicest designs I have ever seen.

Islington Green is a small patch of green in northern London in the area of Islington. It is very close to the Angel tube station. I used to sit and relax here while sipping coffee every now and then and on sunny days it is fun to be here. Not really a tourist spot at all. Can be avoided – there is more to see in London.
