About
The Dominion Theatre is one of the largest and most perfectly designed theatrical venues in London. It is home to a wide auditorium where every seat has a perfect view, a wealth of hospitality suites, impressive public foyers and large bar areas. Located directly above Tottenham Court Road tube station it is easy to find and easy to get to by public transport. The Dominion is also home to Dominion Events, the Dominion Theatre's in house Events department. They hire out and organise events, meetings and corporate events and hospitality in the theatre's 9 event spaces which include the Main Auditorium, The Studio and The Boardroom. In September 2014 the Dominion Theatre completed a 4 month long, multi million pound refurbishment project to restore the theatre to her original 1929 grandeur.

The talent and quality of this ensemble made a mark on the west end tonigh! The energy and emotion made this one of the best shows you can see right now!
Cast, music, production....5 Star!

What an amazing experience! Social distanced seating, pre order wine, softs, ice cream to your seat.

A Christmas Carol with orchestra and Brian Conley - magnificent
Dec 2020
We went to see 'A Christmas Carol' at the Dominion Theatre. We had a brilliant night, it was great to be back in a theatre again.

Accessibility
Really good - we were met at the door by the host who helped us through all the security and down in the lift. He escorted us to the seats and made sure we were comfortable, and came back at the interval and again at the end. We were near the back of the theatre but the view was ok and we could hear everything.

COVID-19
All fine, staff wore masks, there was loads of social distancing between people seated in the theatre. I don't know how they could have made any money though with so many empty seats. I'd go back to the theatre in a heartbeat - it felt much safer than any supermarket!

Amazing night made better with our lovely host "Kane"
Mar 2020
Saw this musical last night and we were looked after by Kane who made sure everything was extra special. His enthusiasm about the musical helped us to feel relaxed and more excited about the show. The musical itself was brilliant and all singers were out of this world!

I really recommend everyone to give this a try and there is no way you will be disappointed.

Saw the 7.30 performance of prince of egypt on 7th March 2020. It was absolutely amazing. We had seats on the very last row of the dress circle row Q. The view was amazing, could see the whole stage, not a moment missed.

excellent show
Mar 2020
I could not fault the show , it was really fantastic but I was extremely disappointed that the theatre could not ask a man who was clearly coughing and spluttering next to me with no tissues and relying on lozengers to suppress his cough in the middle of a pandemic ! I am angry that this person actually went and spoilt the show for us sitting around him and disappointed that the theatre are not addressing the seriousness of the current evolving health problem.
We were moved and given nice seats but they did not solve the control of infection.

Champagne Bar Disappointment
Mar 2020
My mum and I enjoy regular Saturday days' out for a pre-theatre meal and then Saturday matinee show in the West End. But for this Saturday I thought I would make it extra special as it was my mum's birthday and booked the Champagne Bar at £35.00 per person. We arrived at the theatre early to enjoy the champagne bar experience. You could not imagine my disappointment when I took my mum to the bar. The bar is situated on the balcony which overlooks the entrance. There is no seating or tables - you are given a small glass of champagne and programme, and in the interval a glass of champagne and tub of ice cream is left on a shelf. The only good point of the experience was the staff member who served us - as she was extremely knowledgeable about the theatre and shows. I have tried different pre-theatre experiences at different theatres and I can definitely say I would not waste my money on this overpriced Champagne experience again

The Prince of Egypt

This show was the most powerful that we have ever seen. Music was quite brilliant. The parting of the Red Sea very cleverly done. Well worth a visit

Great Theatre - Very Average Show
Mar 2020 • Couples
Went to see Prince Of Egypt here on a Saturday afternoon.

We had cheap seats on the end of an isle on the Grand Circle and the view was great and the theatre itself was really nice. Probably one of the best theatres in london for comfort and view.

The show, just felt flat....the scenery not impressive and although the actors are without doubt talented, the whole thing just lacked that something to make it feel special.

Definitely not a show I would see again, but the theatre is great and it doesn't look lien theres a bad seat in the house.

Theatre design effects your enjoyment of the show
Feb 2020
I watch The Prince Of Egypt here. While the shows itself is great (review completed under the show) the theatre is really a let down.
I was in Row T of the stalls and my tickets was not cheap.
Occassionally during the performance you can hear and feel the underground tube passing by as the station is built on top of Tottenham Court Road Station.
The seating is raked in stalls but rather than having each seat installed in between the seat in front, each seat is directly behind the seat in front. I spent most of the show contorting my body to get a view of the stage that wasn't blocked by the head of the person in front. Why wasn't this fixed in the last refurb? You simply alternatively stagger each row for better viewing.
The cold winds from the front entrance blow directly on you when the doors are open so I was cold until the show started.
I also found it strange that they allowed glass into the stalls, I tripped twice on peoples random glasses that had rolled to my feet.
I purchased a bottle of wine before the show and was told that I could leave the second half of it at the bar for collection during the interval. They actually leave it on an upstairs table with your name on it. I find it unhygienic (especially now when we have a corona virus threat) for the theatre to allow random people to pick up and put down my bottle while searching for their name. I have no idea where their hands have been.
Other than the fact that this theatre is conveniently located next to the tube, I have nothing good to say.
