About
Let's have a silly interactive competitive time in London's Museums! THATMuse, which stands for Treasure Hunt at the Museum, has 5 themes btwn the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museums in London (in Paris we're au Louvre, Musee d'Orsay & the Streets of Paris). Our hunts give you an overview, whilst keeping you focused & injecting adrenaline in your museum visit. Both educational & invigorating, our goal is to make you want to see more of the museums afterwards! Good for family travel (a father and mother splitting with a kid per team), office team-building, hen/stag/birthday parties and study abroad school orientations, we can host hunts from 3 people to 200!

We took our 7 and 10 year old to do this treasure hunt and it was fun and kept us all excited about what we were seeing. It is a super easy way for a family to spend a couple of hours at the British Museum. Highly recommend!

We were a party of 3 (2 adults and a child 9 yrs old), we chose the classic hunt and it was amazing. We've spent 3 hours in the museum because my kid was so interested in finding and discovering everything from the hunt. I highly recommend it! It keeps kids busy and interested in the museum and at the same time they learn so much. It was fun to check all the responses at our hotel by the end of the day.

It was a fun way to see the Louvre with kids. because it engages their participations, helps you navigate, and although there's no real prize at the end, kids want to finish and want to resolve all.
I WILL do another museum with you. thanks.

I had a terrible experience both with the booking process and with the following customer service.
Order processing does not give you a summary of the order, does not indicate that this is the order processing and does not even do a 3DS card payment approval. Looks more like a contact form. You just receive a notification a bit later stating that your card has been charged. What!!!
The customer service is condescending, rude and sends you blaming multi-paragraph messages instead of trying to consider your point of view.
I do not recommend these guys at all!

Sherali, We did try to consider your point of view; this is why we sent you what you call multi-paragraph messages. But you were wrong (and rude to boot) and you refused to admit it. You booked a hunt that is indicated, in 3 different places, that is non-refundable. You ticked off the T&C where the same is explained. You put your credit card number, your name and CVV and press pay. What did you expect it would happen? Is this the first time that you buy something online? What you are saying about order processing and 3DS sounds profound but doesn't mean anything, really. The payment was processed and you received, as we did, all the booking confirmations. This payment is handled by one of the biggest merchant service providers, who operates under UK and EU rules, and that sent you a receipt. One hour after having booked, you changed your mind. That's fine, you have the right to, but you don't have the right to send a rude email asking for a refund because you either made a mistake or changed your mind. Then you went from entitled and generally rude, to abusive. We pointed it out, and asked you very politely to change the tone. You threatened to leave a bad review if we didn't refund the money to which you didn't have the right to a refund, and here you are: you left our first bad review in more than 120 because your temper tantrum didn't work. Fortunately, as you can see, you are in the minority, and all (an I mean all) the other clients love our products and service. Who knows? Maybe it is not us.

I have never been the biggest fan of museums, mostly because I do not know much about any of the art pieces. I found THATMuse and my friends and I thought it would be such a fun way to learn about the art in the British Museum.

As a first time goer to the British Museum (and London) this experience was super exciting! We split into two teams and since COVID is still happening, we did have to go the same route in the museum. I learned so much and saw so many different art pieces that I probably wouldn’t have seen if I didn’t go! The tasks were hilarious (sometimes embarrassing in a good way) and the concept of this scavenger hunt was so fun!

We booked a two-family outing with quite a few changes of attendee in the days leading up to the outing. Hernan and the team were really helpful and the pre-visit information was good. Daisy and Audrey accompanied us on out trip and were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Despite complications from the Covid restricted movement around the BM, the briefing was comprehensive and clear, although a bit lengthy - perhaps elements of this could be done as pre-trip ‘homework’? At the end, the kids and their parents agreed they had been inspired enough to want to visit again to discover more about the Museum. Overall, everyone agreed we had a great time.

I went with a group of friends and we all ended up having a great time here. It was our first time at the museum and the scavenger hunt definitely helped us get around and learn a lot!

We booked this last minute hunt at the Natural History Museum as our original plans were rained out. This surpassed expectations! We played in 2 teams (3+4 people) all around the age of 30. We completed all tasks in just less than 2 hours. We especially enjoyed tasks that required us to be creative (like writing a poem) and had the most fun laughing at these afterwards. As you're racing around you don't really stop to enjoy the museum but that was fine as many of us had been there before.

I reduced this review by one star because of the pricing. I'm not really sure why they price per person. There was basically no difference in the what you need to play for 6 people versus 7 but we paid £15 more...

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review! Daisy loved meeting you all! We're really pleased to read that the Treasure hunt surpassed your expectations and that you had fun completing the tasks (congratulations on completing them all!). As for the price, I'm sorry that you thought that £15 was too much for the extra player, but Classic hunts, which are usually reserved for traveling families, cover up to 6 people and our policy is to add £15 for extra players. Anyway, it was a pleasure to meet you and we hope to see you again for another hunt, either in Paris or London!

I booked this as a work team activity having found it on Google and saw some good reviews about it. I have to say, it far outweighed my expectations. The two ladies who organised our event (Daisy and Anna), were brilliant right from the start. You could feel the enthusiasm coming right out of the emails I received. The communication was fantastic, keeping in touch, making sure I had everything I needed for the day (sometimes re-sending stuff I couldn't find!), and even suggesting venues for us to go afterwards.

Our hunt was with 35 people split over seven teams. In my opinion, the hunt was pitched at just the right level. Being hard enough to test you, but not impossible so that you couldn't solve the clues, or find the treasure.

Anna and Daisy never once showed any stress or impatience despite the arranged meet time going by the way! Once we were all there, we were briefed of the rules and given our clipboards with maps, hunt sheets, pencils etc and then set off for a mad two-hour scramble round the British Museum.

Do be prepared with comfortable shoes and a bottle of water as advised. You really do need both! There is a lot of ground to cover in the British Museum, it's huge! The clues really do make you go to areas you may not have ventured into, and read detail you may not bother with. I for one will definitely be going back.

I have no hesitation to recommend this event which for us, was a great team building activity!

Carolyn!! You're so kind and we are so pleased to read your wonderful review and to have met you last week! Thank you so much for your compliments and there is nothing making us happier than knowing that THATMuse outweighed your expectations and that you all had fun. But, most importantly, we are so pleased to read that you wanted to go back to the Museum after your treasure hunt! Our aim is to plant an art-history seed, and we just love when clients return to the museum after their THATMuse. Your 35-person group was wonderful and me (Anna) and Daisy consider ourselves lucky to have met you last week. We hope to see you soon for another hunt, either in London or Paris!

Did this with my colleagues, and we really enjoyed it. We all really got in to it and even got a little bit more competitive than we thought we would! It was really well done, the clues and bonus points meant you were able to do more than one thing at each treasure to gain extra points. You don't need to any prior knowledge before as all the answers to the clues are in your map or at each treasure. Highly recommend to do.
