Neighbourhood: Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.

- Halumina LightbourneYealmpton, United Kingdom4 contributionsEnthralling, seamless and exceptionally well-playedA true gem of a show in a highly atmospheric venue. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience including the wonderful bar and efficient bar staff. This is a great way to spend an evening at the vibrant waterside of London’s South Bank. Silence in court!Visited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 December 2022
- travellover101Worcester Park, United Kingdom106 contributionsBook jury tickets you won't regret itFrom the moment you walk into the building it feels like you are walking into somewhere important. We were on the jury if you decide to go 100% pay extra for these tickets we felt such a part of the show and it was such fun. The show itself was fantastic the actors/actresses all played there parts so well and I was captivated for the whole show. Highly recommended but pay that bit extra to be a jurorVisited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 January 2023
- Doron G6 contributionsA legal dramaI enjoyed this play, especially the suspense and the acting. It is fair to say that my seat was not ideal, restricted viewing and near the back but I could still see the play. It was the perfect venue for this play. I found the play itself to be compelling and I was able to concentrate throughout. Anyone with a legal background would surely enjoy this play and I would highly recommend it!Visited November 2022Written 10 January 2023
- Hayley E3 contributionsGood show, avoid seats in front of curved end of stageVery good show and venue … fantastic atmosphere. Only downside is we had front row seats which I assumed would be good but due to positioning of actors, my partner was unable to see the witness stand throughout the court scenes. If I had known that, I would’ve booked different seats, so would be good to be informed of view during booking. Despite that, we enjoyed the show and would recommend.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 January 2023
- alyson.johnson-smith_123London, United Kingdom204 contributionsBrilliant performanceA brilliant performance in the perfect setting. Hubby & I really enjoyed this. We sat in the front row of the South Gallery, you did need to sit forward a little to see everything but these seats fitted the budget. Sitting further back in either the South or North Gallery will obscure you view a little. My advice would be to pay more, if you can and sit in the back few rows of the Courtroom stalls in the section nearest to the Judge's circle, any closer to the stage and you will be looking at the actors feet. Wherever you sit I am sure you will enjoy.Visited December 2022Written 26 January 2023
- qusltWickford, United Kingdom200 contributionsA must seeWe were in row F which was a back row, (not the cheapest tickets), but the view was perfect. The show had us engrossed from beginning to end. The scenery changes were smooth and I found them fascinating to watch. The acting was brilliant and the venue was so fitting for this play. I found myself hanging on to every word spoken and was so intrigued to find out how it would end. Brilliant! We loved every minute.Visited January 2023Written 27 January 2023
- Michele R4 contributionsSuperbCouldn't agree more with all the reviews, I have nothing but praise for this amazing experience. We were on the Jury bench which made the whole event really special and real. I wanted to leave a review to shout out to the absolutely amazing staff and how they went out of their way to assist my friend who has mobility difficulties. Tom bought her drinks to her seat and arranged for the lovely lady (sorry I didn't get her name) to help her to a lift as there are a few steps. Even when we were leaving and waiting for an Uber outside another staff member on her way home stopped to see if we were alright. What a fabulous night and thank you to you allVisited February 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 4 February 2023
- CarrieP658Bedfordshire, United Kingdom19 contributionsTheatre at its best!Simply Brilliant! The County Hall setting was amazing and the moment you stepped into the theatre court room, we knew we were in for a good night. The setting is perfect. We were fully immersed in the play right from beginning. Humour, intrigue, great acting, the play was brilliant, we had a fantastic night and I would thoroughly recommend. A huge thank you to the theatre staff who made our night extra special for my partner’s birthday 😊Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 February 2023
- Nicola W3 contributionsMust See ExperienceMy friend and I attended court today. From stepping foot into the iconic building and being welcomed by the ushers to the performance of all involved this was a real treat on every level. Enthralled and gripped to the last second. Special thanks to Paul for obtaining actors signatures on our programme as a treat for my good friend Vicky as seeing this play was on her must see list for so long!Visited February 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 19 February 2023
- Christina F1 contributionFantastic staff at the theatre - above and beyond, so kind and helpful in a crisisI’d like to give a massive shoutout to the theatre clerks Tom and Paul who were absolutely fantastic this evening when my 77-year old aunt became unwell during the first half of the performance. They were so kind and helpful and were so reassuring in their words and actions. We couldn’t have asked for better assistance, they went above and beyond to help, and it’s made us definitely want to return again soon to see the whole show!Visited February 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 February 2023

If you want to go and see this play and you have long legs, are tall or want a padded seat, do your homework before you book. We were seated in the Courtroom stalls after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. They were comfortable and had more generous legroom and a fantastic close up view of the action. The play and the building were both excellent too. Would recommend.

My wife and I like AC murder mysteries so we knew what to expect in a way.
The Courtroom is well put together and a strong convincing set of actors.
I was left in suspense up until the final minutes as to the outcome, marvellous.
I would recommend a visit if only to see the setting in an amphitheater which lends itself to the period (just Post war)

This is a SHOW
Great venue and setting in the court room. Don’t believe there is a bad seat in the house, but we set on the second row and it was fab to see acting up close
The acting was insanely good.
Great ending, what I don’t believe most will work out till it happens
Can’t recommend this enough, book your tickets now

Oh wow! The seating and the lighting were fantastic! The atmosphere was electric. We really enjoyed this play the actors all did such a fantastic job. I would highly recommend I took my 14 and 16 year olds and they also really enjoyed the play. The setting is so different and unique.

Great venue and interesting play that was mostly performed well.
Couple of slips over lines that was a little annoying as took you out of the play.
They’re not lying about the big pillars!
I was happy as I bought a cheap seat but if you’re fussy check the notes about what you won’t be able to see.
I couldn’t see witness box and if I went again I’d go the other side where you can’t see the jury.
Overall, a novel experience.

This show was really good. Great venue and everyone was speculating about who may have done it during the break. Very professional. If you can, pay for a more expensive seat as the lowest price seats are a bit uncomfortable.

The experience was amazing highly recommend . My only advice in booking the gallery, try not to pick seats near the pillars or even behind them. FYI, the gallery does not have alot of room, and alot of steps which are narrow. This is only an FYI, not a criticism . Otherwise bloody brilliant. Thumbs up to all the cast, front of house and behind the scenes

This is was an absolutely astonishing performance and great experience from start to finish. All the cast were amazing, though of course the crowning glory was the titular Witness herself. She had such an amazing range of emotions, from seemingly jaded and underhanded, to distraught woman, to going into a fury… she kept you guessing the whole way through and was utterly compelling. Especially if - like me - you never watched the movie or had prior knowledge of the mystery.
The venue was PERFECT. I was in the gallery and it provided a great view, and having it set in a court room really adds to the experience. Even the medium priced tickets had a great view so no worries even if you can only budget for the cheaper ones.
The only negatives was my gallery had 3 different sets of latecomers who massively disrupted the opening when they came in, so I wish they were a bit stricter on refusing entry after the show started. The worst was one pair who went past me (it was a tight squeeze, and there’s a pillar between halves of the row that’s hard to navigate through without someone getting up), released they went the wrong row and made everyone get up AGAIN and essentially miss the impactful opening which was a powerful scene of someone being dragged to the gallows. If would have been better if the ushers had at least waited for a more expository scene to let them through.

very entertaining, the venue is what made the play. It was fun to experience the actors in an actual courtroom that was used in the past. Booking seats was a major issue, very difficult.

Hi, I have booked the Classic Court Package (includes a soft drink, ice cream and a programme) When and how do I redeem this - before the show, during the interval?? Thanks

Hi, are the lights on the jury throughout the performance? Asking for a friend!

Oh, boy, I wish I could answer that. Even though our seats were diagonal to the jury, I was so mesmerized by the performance that I didn't pay much attention to the jury - so my guess is, no, the lights are not always on them. However a couple of times during the performance, one of the "lawyers" addresses the jury directly, and in doing so, stands beside the jury box and the lights are on the jury at that time .

We have booked Courtroom Stalls seats A15 & A16. My issue is that I’ve recently had a left sided total knee replacement, & can’t bend my leg fully. Will I struggle to sit in these seats? What’s the legroom like? We deliberately booked end of aisle seats, in the hope that if my left leg won’t fit in the row, I might be able to put it slightly in the aisle. Just seen in a few reviews that legs in the aisle is clamped down on. Anyone sat here? Got any opinions/advice?

Give them a ring and explain your situation, they r so nice. There are lots of stairs though once inside.
We sat in the jury. See if they can upgrade u for free as they do that when there isn’t enough people on the jury. Those seats have plenty of room but still ask for an end one
what seats to book for someone who has vertigo

If your Vertigo is very bad, then you'd be very safe in rows A, B, C, D, or E. They are in the bowl of the Court Arena.
Anywhere in there gives an amazing view as its so compact.
I am going next on 8 Jan. My 4th drive to London from Liverpool and back in a Day! It's THAT Good! Enjoy everyone.

I can’t remember what seats we had I am afraid.
Phone County Hall to check.
I refer to the comment that the seats in the witness box were not worth the extra opinion.
Having sat in them I would disagree. I think every seat is good but sitting in the jury you feel very much part of the whole enactment. The lights are on you all the time, you are sworn in and you hand in your verdict at the end so you are very much part who f the play. You get two drinks included, your programme and a special notebook!
I bought the tickets as a gift for my husband who doesn’t hold back on his comments and he thought it was worth it.
Over to you.

Hi I have a choice of a few seats, A4 & A17 which are basically facing each other on the straight area or A 13 which is on the curved bit, also B22 or B24, would anyone recommend any over the others.
Thanks

We sat in the curve on the right side, opposite the jury box. They were great seats. I think all seats are good as it is a relatively small venue.
