Thrilling Escape from The Demon Barber of Oxford Street
Venturing into Mrs. Lovett's thriving pie shop turned out to be an exhilarating escape experience. While the initial puzzles posed a challenge, the momentum picked up rapidly, propelling us through the rest of the game. The sinister atmosphere of the adjacent barber shop added an extra layer of excitement to our adventure. Although the beginning was tough, the subsequent puzzles felt more intuitive, allowing us to navigate through with ease.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! Should you be up for the challenge Dr Basher awaits you in The Dentist! We hope you visit again soon! ML

Lovely Day out with the intense Dentist escape room
Amazing time. Had difficulty finding the place at first but after calling them up they gave helpful directions. All in all really great with the help of the staff Connor! Gave us some extra time as well and escaped with one second remaining! Really recommend:)
Dear Mc F, Thanks so much for attending and we are glad you all had fun once you found us! We hope you return to try our other games located at other venues and make it a 5 star experience for you! ML

    Gates of Hell
Visited for the Gates of Hell experience which we didn’t realise at the time was rated 5/5 for difficulty. There was only two of us which made it extra hard. Deji was our game master he was friendly and clear with his instructions. Made it out (just) and would come again but would bring more people to make the experience easier! They also have a nice bar with happy hour and discounts post game.

    Escape Room
First time doing an escape room. Dylan was a fantastic host. Good clear instructions. Very knowledgeable and guided us well throughout the game. Very friendly and put us at ease. The game was fab. A good introduction to escape rooms and will be back to try the more difficult one.

    Brilliant
Our team had a fantastic time at No Escape last Friday. Our host, Conor was excellent and did a great job of manging us all. We were two groups (a 4 and a 6) and were all either slightly tipsy or very excitable (or both), so not easy! Conor was really friendly and got us all organised quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend.

Gates of Hell escape room - demonic fun!
A very atmospheric escape room, lots of extremely satisfying puzzles - great fun! Connor was really helpful when we needed a hint but we managed escape with time to spare. If you like a challenge, this is for you! Absolutely loved it - highly recommended. We finished too early for the bar to be open which looked great too!

Tough to find and a little quirky but loads of fun 😁
After climbing the narrow staircase to a unassuming door we found this awesome little gem of an escape room. Mariana was brilliant. This was our first experience of an escape room and we were not disappointed. A great day was had by all and we cannot wait to book some of the other venues to see how they compare. Thank you for helping to make our family day out even more special.

Did Gates of Hell in Victoria! Fantastic room, the scenery was incredible and it was so immersive. Puzzles were unique and so much fun. Luke was our host and he was brilliant! He joked around with us and gave a great story and introduction, then was happy to answer any questions about the room afterwards. Also the cocktails in Purgatory bar were delicious and looked very cool!

The experience was brilliant - we needed a few clues but got out in the end! Conor and Deji were brilliant hosts and the outline from Conor at the beginning was super-clear. The space is quite small and it gets pretty intense so go light on clothing (we went in July).

We went with a couple of friends who had booked the room for us. Finding it was difficult but only because it is litterally above the Londis. We were greeted by a very firendly and enthusiatic owner who went throuhg everything and told us that we would be the first non testers to attempt his new room, Sweeny Todd. Unfortunately, the locks did not work correctly for us so they took us out and reset the room. For this they refunded us and booked us for free at their other site for later that day. We completed the Sweeny Todd room which was very well thought out and an excellent concept. We then went to the other site and complete the Butcher which was an excellent experience. The site staff there were very friendly and accomodating, allowing me to run out and get drinks for everyone before we started. The Butcher room was superb, lots of sensibly linked but challenging puzzles to work out, with a good narative too. Would highly recommend anyone who likes escape rooms to use this company, and also for anyone who is experiencing their first rooms.

Where should I begin? The fact that we got there and couldn't get in, having to phone. Then when finally the door opened it was not a good welcome. The two guys there felt new to it, so didn't give off enthusiasm about the room, or get us excited about entering. I had to ask for a story as a bit of background but was told like one line... went in, the room was very well decorated and themed , however the puzzles were a bit scarce, particularly for 5/5 difficulty factor, we expected more.
There were several parts that the puzzles didn't flow and we had to ask. This room is extremely linear, and it would be very hard to find things to do if you were a group of 4!
One puzzle in particular (not to give too much away) required physical strength but the puzzle did not work properly and requires a bit of attention to perhaps round off a corner. (Wasn't just us, the guy came in and also couldn't do it as it was stuck, and said many had also had that issue)???? (So why not do something about it??)
When we had finished there was no excitement from the games host that we felt odd.. and then just left. Very weird. Lacking a decent host.

We went to the Halloween Sweeney Todd escape room. There was a live actor in the room which added a bit of flare however we found the escape room easier than others we have done and it included a lot of padlocks which we felt was a bit basic. The escape room also costed more than others we have done in the past. Was good fun but don’t think we’d go there again.

No Escapes Demon Barber was disappointing. We've done many escape rooms in and out of London and this was by far the worst. Very linear. No story or thought put into the puzzles. The three of us completed in 28 minutes out of the expected hour while we usually take up pretty much the allocated time. Given hints when we did not ask for them. Tired and grotty location. If this was our first escape room it would also be our last - such a shame to give people this as an impression of an escape room when it can be so much more.

Thanks for taking your time leaving us a review regarding your experience. We are very disappointed and apologise the customer service provided to you was sorely lacking. This is not to our standards and we will be conducting a investigation into how we can better improve with the gm's in question. We apologise as well for the building we are located in, we try our best to maintain it but is shared with other businesses which we have no control over. I hope you can reach out to me at michael@noescapelondon.co.uk so that we can make it up to you. Best, Michael (Guest Manager)

Booked this escape room (Barber of Oxford St) as a last minute Saturday activity for a group of 4. Two of us had done an escape room previously and 2 never before. the cost was high from the outset (£34pp approx) but as it was last minute and wanting something to do, we decided to take the plunge.

On arrival there is no clear signage from the road whatsoever. Only by accidentally visiting another escape room just a few doors away, were we explained where to go. Entering through a Londis (!), up some very narrow stairs, past a tattoo room and a very dubious looking massage parlour, we arrived.

The reception is very small and set the tone for the experience. Unloved and unclean. I don’t know whether the place is just run down or just not looked after, but it didn’t feel clean anywhere - even the toilet (presumably shared with the tattoo studio and the massage parlour) didn’t look as if it had been cleaned or sanitised in a long time.

The room itself was also tired and run down. Paper items torn, laminated items all wrinkled and peeling apart and just generally a bit grubby. The lights were dim and the place very warm (even at 7pm on an April day!)

The puzzles were very straight forward. We solved this room in around 30 mins and were by no means rushing. The puzzles didn’t relate to one another to create a story or narrative, and though there was a brief at the start, “prove the pie shop is using human meat”, there wasn’t a thread through the game that reinforced this.

Every time you did an action that released / opened something, it was announced by a fanfare, so it was too obvious to then look around and see what had changed / opened. Personally I prefer to find / notice these things myself. All too spoon-fed.

The final puzzle though, was bizarre, and didn’t seem to have a logical solution. We solved this through pot luck / trial and error. All the while, we were being fed hints to this final puzzle over the tannoy, despite the fact we had clearly blitzed through all the other puzzles to that point. As we had gone through so quickly, you’d think they’d have let us stew (!) a bit to drag out the time and try and work out the correct placements. Once we happened upon the right pairings, there was again a little tannoy announcement and that was that. Very anticlimactic and left us with an “oh, is that it?!” feeling.

The host came in and was vague about the time we took (there is no timer within the room) and that we “probably made top 10” but nowhere in the reception or website was there a list of times so… who’s to know!!

Overall, genuinely felt robbed; both of experience and of money.

There are SIGNIFICANTLY better (and cleaner) places than this. I left desperately trying to convince my (very disheartened) friends that not all escape rooms were like that and embarrassed to tell them how much they owed me for the outing.

Hi, Thank you for leaving such detailed feedback, we apologise we have not responded to this till now. There are things out of our control. Toilets for example is unfortunately shared with the other venues at the location. We are sorry you did not enjoy the room, but the points about torn paper and grubby look is not acceptable and has since been rectified. We want every customer to have the best experience possible. please reach out to us on info@noescapelondon.co.uk to discuss this further.

It was a horrendous experience with a very amateur set up and extremely poor service. There was no help at all when the sound could not be heard and we spent a frustrating 30 minutes trying to get help to hear the clues. Upon following up with this feedback the company were no help at all. Overall an amateur experience with an amateur and poorly run company. Would not waste your money with this when there are so many better in London

Dear Bhavs, It is a shame we could not resolve this issue when you reached out to us privately. While we don't deny your group encountered some issues your request for a full refund was denied upon investigating into the matter. We are still open to communication with you and our offer still stands to reach a resolution. Best regards, No Escape Team

We went and did the Purgatory escape room in Victoria on Monday. I am very familiar with Dante's poem which is why I picked it and although it was my first escape room, I thought it was excellent. The puzzles you have to complete were quite hard but very clever and the dark design of the room(s) and eerie sound effects created a really good atmosphere. We made it out with 2 minutes to spare as a team of 4 and we used 3 or 4 hints along the way. The staff were really friendly two and gave us a shot and some popcorn after we were out. Def recommended!
