Put it this way, if there had been an interval we would have gone! An absolutely dreadful production, we were almost as embarrassed as the cast, who obviously didn't know what this was supposed to be - pathos, humour, slapstick? I'm a very old fan...More

A very slick adaptation of the much loved and parodied , film ‘Brief Encounter’. Intercutting film, stage action with all the favourite lines intact, with Coward’s own lyrics in a half ironic half nostalgic exploration up the inner longings beneath the stiff-upper lip repression. I...More

We were wandering past, and booked this in the afternoon and saw it in the evening ... and what superb entertainment. The cast and adaptation made the evening a total joy. We would recommend this to anyone. The performances were outstanding.

What a fantastic production!!! Thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Every aspect of the show has been successfully achieved, from the hilarious comedy, to the heartfelt anguish of unrequited love, to the direction & the clever, clever staging, to the brilliant singing (& choice of music)... A theatre show with a difference - Well, it's in a cinema for a start, but it's not a film! If you liked the film, you'll love this, no doubt about that. The Actors and musicians are all just wonderful! I don't want to give...More

Didn’t know what to expect but was totally captivated by this innovative production combining, drama and comedy with music and dance. The core theme is the original Noël Coward play and film set in the 1930s about a chance meeting at a railway station between...More

This was a really good venue for Emma Rice's Brief Encounter. Less stuffy than some theatres it gave a different experience and was nicely themed around the play. The staff were helpful and there is a bar and better toilets than the average West End...More

Great venue to host a very entertaining production of Brief Encounter by Kneehigh. Seats are roomy and comfortable with much more legroom than one usually gets in a West End theatre. Staff are friendly and courteous. Great experience at a weekday matinee.
