Highly recommended by one of Rick Steves’ tour guides for a short-notice tour of the English Countryside. Chas and Teresa were available to organize and take my husband and me on a delightful day tour of Oxford, Blenheim Castle and the Cotswolds village of Great Tew. Teresa’s excellent pre-tour communication and easy Pay Pal payment option smoothly paved the way for our meet-up with Chas, a distinguished Blue Badge Tour Guide. Chas was punctual, engaging, informative and a great driver! Really Interesting Tours knows their craft well and makes their clients feel comfortable and relaxed, while providing excellent service. We are very happy we decided to take a day out of London with Really Interesting Tours!

My husband and I are still “giddy” about our wonderful trip with Chas to the English Countryside for a week in September. We toured London with Chas in June 2018 and had such a great time. We knew right away that we wanted to return in 2019 and do another trip out to the countryside. We contacted Chas in early 2019 about the type of trip we were interested in. He and his wife (Teresa) got to work right away on coming up with 2 different itineraries based on the cities we were interested in touring. Teresa was so pleasant to work with on the details of the trip, fine tuning things, and answering all of my questions so promptly. They planned every detail of our trip, including hotels, restaurants, entrance tickets for all of the places we visited, etc. We spent 6 full days with Chas. He is simply an outstanding guide. So kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and really just so much fun to be with. He drives a very nice Mercedes sedan, and is an excellent driver as well. We visited Oxford, The Cotswolds, Amberley, Bath and Portsmouth as well as additional touring in London. We are a well traveled couple, and this is by far one of the best vacations we have ever had! I cannot recommend Chas enough for private touring in London and beyond, he is simply the best! We can’t wait to do another trip with him in the near future!

Chas was our private guide for two days of memorable experiences. We saw Stonehenge, Avebury, Lacock, the Roman Baths, the burial mounds in West Kennet, Chippenham, Winchester, Castle Combe, plus unscheduled stops along the way as time permitted. Chas was informative, responsive to our interests, entertaining and kind. As I look back on our 24-day land and cruise vacation, those two days with Chas stand out in my mind as the most memorable. I would highly recommend him.

After 62 years, I was back in the country I had been born in. We were having breakfast at the St. James in London and I watched drivers pull up outside, waiting for their clients. I had been told by my husband and my sister that we were taking a train to go out to the country and back. I wanted to go back to where I lived in Fairford as an infant but time constraints on our travel didn't allow. This day was to give me an idea of what it might have been like. I had shared that I wanted to truly "experience" England. As I walked out the door, my sister turned to me and said, "I've been lying to you. We aren't taking a train." She pointed to a gentleman and said, this is our tour guide and here is our car. Chas Bailey turned out to be an entertaining, informative, personable gentleman. We traveled in his comfortable Mercedes to Windsor, the delightful village of Castle Combe and Bath. Windsor was incredible! Chas got us into places easier than we could have, always had a great story and facts to back them up and made sure each of us didn't miss important points if we got distracted. We had lunch together at Castle Combe at the most wonderful little place. I'm getting emotional writing this as I remember the beauty of the village and how at home I felt. Chas responded to our needs so well. He began to share more of his own experiences as we made it clear we were interested but always stayed on time and on point. I would go back to the Cotswolds in a heartbeat. We finished up at Bath. I had injured my foot badly the previous day and by the end of the day I was in significant pain but didn't want to miss a thing - maybe that's why Bath wasn't my favorite! I watched other guides while we were in England. I would use Chas again - it was an excellent experience!

Chas took a small group around the Tower for the morning and it felt like a VIP tour as he revealed insight after insight. It was as if we were being given the inside track. We were able to see and experience things that you can't by just walking around yourself.
