    Generally OK
In the last few months, Euston's concourse has had new train information boards installed. These will take some getting used to. My limited interactions with staff have been fine. The only annoying feature is that quite often, the platform barriers only open 10 minutes or less prior to the scheduled time of train departure.

    Abdul was phenomenal!
On 02/12 I visited Euston station to head home to Milton Keynes after a night out in London. It was my first time travelling alone and I felt quite vulnerable at first (side note, it was also freezing cold!). I had just missed my first train on platform one and realised I had a 30 minute wait for the next one so I thought I’d wait it out on platform one. I was absolutely freezing, and looking at TikTok’s on my phone when I was approached by a member of staff on the platform called Abdul. He checked my train ticket and found the correct platform for me, however (me being incapable of knowing where things are) I got lost finding the platform. Luckily I managed to find Abdul again, who then walked me down to the platform. He checked what seat I had booked and decided that he was going to upgrade me just because he was nice and we were having a nice natter on the way to the platform. He spoke to the driver of the train and upgraded me to standard premium, free of charge, then escorted me to my seat and wished me a nice trip home. It’s so rare to find customer service to that extent. He was consistently smiley and helpful, and went above and beyond, which actually made my experience extremely lovely. I went from feeling anxious and vulnerable to being so happy that I smiled the whole way home! I couldn’t be more positive about my experience today! Thank you Abdul (if you’re reading this) ~ it was a pleasure meeting you!

    Busy station
As train stations go it’s functional. Selection of shops and a nice pub to sit and wait in. Not as aesthetically pleasing as St Pancras but easy to read boards and open space. Platforms easily accessible.

London's most miserable rail terminus -
Very drab and crowded concourse, which is why they are renovating, but with the snail paced speed of British planning, it could be decades until the new concourse welcomes its first passengers Euston is currently used by tens of millions of passengers as the London base for long distance routes to Manchester, Birmingham , Stoke and Glasgow as well as regional services to Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and the west midlands. In terms of the passengers, many Muslims use Euston to visit friends and family in Birmingham and Manchester and vice versa and many Jews use the terminal to visit family in north Manchester. Tourists use it to travel between london and glasgow

    Busy but good facilities
Clean and shiny station. Well managed. Helpful staff. Busy all the time because its giving you service to travel many of UK cities. Travelled from here to Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Edinburgh and many more. Most of time service on time but you never know when it’s going down and create chaos. Thanks to the companies providing their services like Avanti, LNER etc for comfortable journey. Many eateries and drinking places around as well as hotels.underground and bus terminal next to lt’s door.

    Train Station
This is the station we arrived into and left from on our visit to London. The station is quite basic but has many shops and stalls. There is a big open space in the middle when you can view the boards. There is a lack of seating however - for the size and busyness of the station, there isn't much.

    Very busy
Visited on a recent trip to Lords Cricket ground. Extremely busy station as you would expect. Lots of cafes and bars not too crowded so quite easy to get a drink. The toilets were disgustingly bad they did not flush were crowded and the lock on the door did not work. Horrid experience as far as that goes. Fairly easy to get a Taxi outside information on trains is good.

    Autism awareness
We visited Euston station on Friday 30th August to return home with my two boys who have severe autism. The boys got stuck and we were unable to move them. A member of staff noticed our struggles and helped to get us to the correct platform and ensured we boarded the train first and were comfortable. Can’t thank them enough they were amazing! Thank you xxx

I have never experienced such rude service or people . I was travelling to Liverpool and bought my ticket in good timeand went to go and get on the train and they told me I hve the wrong ticket and the one I need is for the faster train even though it did not say that when I bought it on the machine . Normally in my experience if you do something like that you just pay extra when you get in the train and upgrade your ticket but fine no. Got told to go to the ticket office to get a refund . There was no one in the queue so I ducked under the rope queue and got shouted at by the ticket office seller . Got to him and he said I could not get a refund and had to go elsewhere to the other side of the station . Arrived there and the omen treated me like the worlds biggest idiot and printed out the time train I need to get on with that ticket . I then realised she had given me the wrong advice so went back and said I just wanted a refund on that ticket and I’ll sort it out myself and just buy it on my phone . She then said if I come back for assistance she will charge me a ten pound admin fee . Everyone has been absolutely unhelpful and rude as well as giving incorrect information . You would think with times like this people are more understanding and emphatic.

Euston is the terminus for West Coast Main Line services plus local services and London Overground. It's a busy place not helped by passengers not knowing their platform allocation until just before their train leaves - this means there is a mad dash by everyone to get to their platform. As a consequence of this people wait in the concourse watching the departure boards. Plenty of eating outlets, free WiFi which didn't work for me and one gloomy seating area at the back of the concourse. Not a very pleasant experience and a lot worse than places like Kings Cross

They open the platforms too late.

What if you had an issue with ticket, like me. I could have sorted it if I had 5 minutes more, not the rush from the square to the station and then the rush to leave.

What if you are in pain and cant move very quickly like my mum. Luckily her train was right in front of where we were stood.

People need more time to get to the platform. Instead of a quick phone call, I could have solved my honest mistake from booking when my ticket didnt work on the scan - instead I had no time and cost me an extra £50. I was also advised wrongly. I was told I could claim back my unused train ticket, but because I had bought it in advance, I couldn't.

I was made to feel very small by the ticket person on the train who constantly told me I had 6 weeks to change this, if I had noticed the 8 instead of the 7 - believe me - I would have. I did not like his tone, when he could see I was already upset about this.

Did not like the rushed service

Hi Jodie, really sorry to hear the experience when travelling through earlier this year didn't meet your expectations. We are working hard to improve the boarding experience at Euston to give passengers more time to get to their trains in a less rushed and stressed way. All the best.

At Euston (as it seems every train station in Britain), the help is knowledgeable and goes out of their way to help out. I was traveling with a 95 year old friend, and the mobility assistance folks went above and beyond to make sure she was comfy and reassured. Thank you.

I recently accompanied a friend to Euston, intending for her to catch the 17.10 direct service to Bangor (Gwynedd), only to discover it had been cancelled due to staffing problems. She was advised to catch the 16.40 service instead, involving changes at both Crewe and Chester, which was imminently leaving from Platform 1. Recently widowed, my friend is currently frail and has some short-term memory problems, which is why we had chosen the direct service. However in her haste to catch this alternative train, she stumbled and fell heavily down the steps to the platform, knocking her head in the process. She was immediately surrounded by assistance from Staff, particularly Sanu, who took down her details and summoned medical help. This she refused, assuring us that she was fine. Sanu reluctantly agreed to her travelling on the train, finding her a seat in the refreshment area under the watchful eye of the staff there because of possible repercussions from her head injury.

On arrival at Crewe and also at Chester she was met by staff members who assisted her to the correct trains for her onward journey. She arrived home safely and has happily suffered no lasting effects from her head injury.

I would like to compliment the staff on the professional and caring way in which they dealt with the situation, conveying particular thanks to Sanu at Euston.

Used the Travel Assistance Service today, on a day when there were multiple train delays across many services, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We asked for a little advance notice of which platform our train would depart from, because of mobility issues. The staff were extremely pleasant, kept us informed and, as requested, advised of our platform so that we could avoid the mad dash once the platform was announced on the matrix sign. Would highly recommend this service and they made our potentially stressful journey through Euston station as easy as could be. 10/10 on all fronts!! And a big thank you to all the staff.

Mobility Assistance at Euston station - having a foot injury I needed to request assistance for a visit to London. I emailed my request and it was confirmed within 5 minutes before 8am a few days prior to travel. Upon arrival my train was met by a buggy which collected me from my carriage. At the concourse I was transferred to a wheel chair and pushed to the taxi rank, where a taxi was hailed for me and I was helped into it. On my return we went to the office to request help and were immediately supported with a buggy which delivered me to my carriage. The service was outstanding, quick and easy to book and operated by cheerful and helpful staff. Thank you so much. You made a difficult journey a lot easier.

My husband had eye op which meant he had no sight whatsoever and had to be guided by me. As we arrived at the station we were approached by a very kind member of staff offering assistance. He took us to the disability office where we were driven right in to the train ahead of everyone. Very kind and caring staff. Thank you!

Bad, bad station. Pathetic crowd management here. For some reason this station is unable to announce in advance which platform the departing train will be from. This causes large crowds to form in the concourse area, which also has minimal seating, followed by a mad rush for the train, (people running) which isn’t acceptable. Please do something about this, it’s not difficult to announce a platform a bit sooner.
