A landmark in Central London. There's a tube station named after the Marble Arch. Hotels around the area would include the landmark into its name to differentiate itself from similar franchise in other parts of London. There's an amusing story about our family visit to...More

Marble Arch is one of those much photographed monuments in London, stuck on the corner of what was once Hyde Park, but is now a large traffic island. Read about all the things to see nearby in my article. Marble Arch has an interesting history...More

Marble Arch used to be part of Buckingham palace complex starting in 1833 but was relocated to this traffic island at the northeast corner of Hyde Park in 1851. Clad with Carrerra marble, the design is based on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris but...More

Stands at the corner of Hyde Park. Very nice architecture but you tend to expect something more outstanding. Worth a look.

The arch is at the top of Park Lane in one of London’s most exclusive areas around the three parks (Hyde, Green, St James’s). It’s a lovely monument. It just goes to show how many monuments London has that this one gets scored low and...More

As others have mentioned, the Marble Arch is known as a tube station or a general area more than for the actual arch. I liked this Arch as it was a surprise when it appeared in front of me. It has been well taken care...More

With all there is to see and do in London, it's difficult to make a case for a special trip trip to see this arch. We saw it as part of a "hop-on, hop off tour." It's ok.

Arch originally designed to be state arch of Buckingham Palace. Was to serve as “coeur d’Honneur” of Palace. Palace found to be woefully small for royal family and arch had to be relocated to present location. Now off Hyde Park on Park Lane.

Quite sadly, Marble Arch is known more for being a tube station and area of London rather than the actual arch itself. It sits alone at the junction of Oxford Street, Edgware Road and Park Lane betraying it’s history as an arch that was built...More

Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it
