The Sherlock Holmes tour was great, really interesting and Ben is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about this subject, (despite the cold, 2nd December) grrrr, the 4 of us really enjoyed the experience.

Our London with a Local Christmas Tour was superb. Our tour guide, Ben, a local historian and writer, laced his tales of London’s Christmas lights with a colour and charisma that cut through the cold of the London evening. I am a born-and-bred Londoner and Ben still brought me a fresh perspective on streets, theatres, lanes and alleys that I’ve often passed down the years but never really stopped to consider. He set the lights and sights in their historical and cultural context, supplemented his stories with images on his iPad, and succeeded in evoking Victorian/Dickensian Christmas. Ben was on hand with tips on which Christmas markets and stores to visit (Borough Market in Southwark and Fortnum & Mason in Piccadilly come highly recommended) and which to avoid. He was also happy to answer any questions we may have had. Critically, there were no booking fees. London with a Local operates a ‘pay what you think it’s worth model’, which should open opportunities to those who may not otherwise be able to attend such tours. I look forward to taking my next tour.

Family of 3 booked the Shoreditch street art walk and it exceeded our expectations. Ben, was passionate and so knows about the history and artists that it made the 2 tour come to life. Highly recommend

James was such a good tour guide - knowledgeable, funny and adaptive to whatever the tour guests are interested in. I had a really good time and would recommend it to anyone interested in London's street art behind-the-scenes!

We had today a wonderfull tour of street art at Shoreditch with Ben. Fascinating explanations in a captivating tone tinged with humor made our day and forget the cold. It will remain a great souvenir of our visit.
