We booked to go on the "Break the Barrier" ride for my 70th birthday on Saturday 25th November. My family and friends ranged in age from 11 to 72 and EVERYONE thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Geoff and Geoff were absolutely brilliant and made it such fun! I couldn't stop smiling for the whole 45 minutes. We were so lucky with the weather too. It was cold, but really sunny with not a cloud in the sky. Thank you Thames Rockets. We had a blast and we can't wait to do it again! xxx

Yesterday 25th November 2023 I finally got to ride on the Thames Rockets with my hubby and our best friends. It was absolutely amazing and exhilarating. My face hurt from smiling so much. We were entertained by Bills comical whit the moment we set off and later we were thrilled by Nathan’s skill at the helm. I’ve been wanting to do this for years and now I can say I have and that I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN. It was brilliant guys I can’t thank you enough and I thought the music that played throughout the high speed bit was an excellent choice and added to the ambiance. We will definitely be back again. My only regret is it’s so fast I wasn’t brave enough to video the ride but I wish I had the evidence of how much I enjoyed it to show others.

Would recommend this to anyone visiting London! Brad and Max were amazing - very knowledgeable and made the whole experience so much fun. The music was bangin and if all that wasn’t enough - next minute they whipped out free drinks for us all (which we’ve since said was that best drink we’ve ever tasted!) Kate and Lucy from Australia rate this best experience we’ve ever had.

Wow just wow!!!! We were super lucky with a very bright sunny, but cold November Saturday! Absolutely awesome trip, speedy, bumpy and so much fun! Jack and Brad were brilliant and made the trip one not to forget! Looking forward to trying a different trip next time! Highly recommend!

Max, Tom and Bill were an absolutely outstanding team onboard our Thames Rocket trip, going from a gentle 8 knots to a rip roaring 30 and seeing all the wonderful sights the capital has to offer from the vantage point of the Thames. As if this wasn't enough we were kept thoroughly entertained throughout by fascinating facts concerning London's past and present, some spooky or even downright gory! This was the highlight of our London visit and a memory to treasure. All three gentlemen are to be commended for their professionalism, their knowledge and for being so upbeat and humorous throughout.

The boat ride was really fun and a nice way to see London from the river. The guide was both funny and informative. We did get some speed and power through some fun turns.

Jeff was beyond amazing as a tour guide he had us laughing so hard but was also full of knowledge and explained everything to us. I would go back tomorrow! Also the guy in the back had the best tunes on the boat!

We took along my son-in-law on the tour to the Thames Barrier as a part of his birthday celebrations.
We met Bill and Geoff and the other participants at Bankside Pier where we were offered waterproof jackets and donned our lifejackets.
Of course, health and safety is paramount on such an experience as this and it was handled efficiently and quickly with good humour.
In no time at all, we were on our way with a commentary on some of the more important sights. The real thrill came when the boat opened up reaching a speed of some 30 knots.
We slowed down to pass the barrier where Bill explained how it works and gave us a number of fascinating facts before turning around and speeding back up the river accompanied by a variety of tunes incline Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder for those celebrating.
It was a brilliant trip (even though the weather wasn’t the best).
I’ve been in a Thames Rockets trip before and hope to go again.

Whats the difference between the High Speed Thames River RIB Cruise and the Thames High Speed Zone RIB Cruise. Which one of the 2 is recommended?

The boats are probably the same craft, however they just tour slightly different sections of the River Thames. Rockets also go out to the Thames Barrier, we would have done that excursion but it was fully booked, so I advise book online a couple of weeks beforehand. Whichever company you choose I’m sure you’re going to enjoy it.

I think you probably could bring baby, but I would say a bit bumpy for a little one. I personally wouldn't but in terms for safety, very safe.
There are other yours that aren't as rapid though

What’s the difference between the “ultimate London adventure (50 mins)” and “break the barrier (40 mins)” other than the obvious 10 minute difference?

Hi Chesney. 'Break the Barrier' is full speed from St Katharine Pier (the start of the 'high-speed zone) and throughout. The 'Ultimate London Adventure' is part speed, part guided. Very much depends if you would like to see the iconic sites or just experience the thrill of speed-boating on the river Thames. Full experience details can be found on our website.
