I regularly visit museums and heritage sites and decided to visit this museum last summer. I can honestly say that this museum is extremely lacking in any form of decent Interpretation or display of objects. Items within the museum are displayed in the most boring manner and the interpretation text is lacking in decent authorship or presentation. The objects, some of which have the potential to be very interesting are completely let down by the way in which they are displayed and described. This museum has not moved with the times at all and would not be out of place in the 19th century. There is a complete lack of consideration for the visitor. The items are presented in such a way that you would need an in depth knowledge of the history of the Royal Fuliliers prior to visiting in order to understand the items on display - this would negate visiting in the first place! The curatorial team are not doing a very good job at all with this museum and they are actually letting the objects and museum down by their poor displays and interpretation. Zero effort has been made to make this museum accessible to anyone who does not already have knowledge of the history of the Royal Fusiliers. I suspect this museum would have closed down long ago had it not been situated within the Tower of London. This museum is a real let down to the rest of the Tower of London. Spend your time somewhere else in the Tower of London, this museum isn't worth wasting your time to visit.
