Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stumbled across Fitzroy Square quite by accident when trying to get from Euston Station to the BT Tower. Fitzroy Square (created by Charles Fitzroy, 1st Baron Southampton, in the 1790s) is a square of magnificent buildings surrounding a park / gardens in the centre. Many of the buildings have blue plagues of them giving some indication of their history; this includes properties where George Bernard Shaw, Virginia Woolf and Robert Gascoyne Cecil (3rd Marquess of Salisbury and prime Minister for various periods between 1885 and 1902) lived.
The area was largely pedestrianised in the 1970. The gardens are privately owned, belonging to those who own the freehold of the buildings that surround the square. The gardens are open Mon-Fri 12 noon-3pm from 12th May to 30th September only – whilst I was only able to look over the railings I did spot a fox in the gardens. The sculpture is entitled ‘View’ by Naomi Blake and was installed to commemorate the Queen Elizabeth’s Silver Jubilee in 1977.

Interesting as there is no access for the public and the seats sit outside the square looking in. Unusual.

Its a small square just next to the Indian YMCA hostel where I stayed a couple of days. A nice and peaceful garden. We used to sit here sometimes. We loved the peace and serenity of this place. I used to watch the students residing at the YMCA stroll around here in the evening, some even in couples holding hands together.

Fitzroy Square Gardens is a hidden gem of London and isn't open often to the public, sometimes it is only open a few times a year.
The garden and surroundings are very peaceful
Plants, flowers, trees and shrubs are well maintained
Some seating and benches are available
Not a place to visit if its raining

This is a very picturesque square surrounded by handsome buildings. It was busy with people enjoying lunch in the sun, but unfortunately they were lining the perimeter railings as the garden is closed to the public. It seems such a pity that this lovely green space cannot be more widely enjoyed.
