You will never forget the theatrical event that is Disney's THE LION KING. Brilliantly re-imagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, Disney's beloved film has been transformed into a spectacular stage production that explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba - the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. 'There is simply nothing else like it.' Received tickets for my birthday, and what can I say it was absolutely brilliant from start to end. All the actors, dancers singers were on point. Grown up Simba is gorgeous. A lot of jokes were very relevant to today ie brexit. Soo good. Only one complaint not about the play but audience members, do not use your phones to... More

The Disney animation film is great and we all know the story; the musical takes most of the lion king and elements from the second animation. The costumes were good, however at times felt the speech got lost and found it difficult to hear. Overall it was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours forgetting everything else going... More

One of the most amazing things I've witnessed and it was my first time so an absolute dream come true. As its all animal based initially the puppets and masks can get a bit distracting but if you forget about it after a bit you are in for an amazing treat. Great acting, singing, amazing colours props, puppets, backdrops, really cool special effects.... More

I brought tickets for my daughters 6th birthday and my goodness, not only was my little girl sat on the edge of her seat so was I. This show is a major major production and no expense spared. It truly is a must see. The theatre is also amazing because it seemed to me that any seat would have a... More

A wonderful show, the costumes are fantastic and the well known music is played/sung very well and with appropriate African feeling. The singers selection is very good and when I have listened the recordings from some time ago, I felt like the recording were made with same singers. The cast showed dedication and professionalism, yet also showed humour (with another... More

A wonderful show, we went to see it over a decade ago, the show is largely the same, yet has just a few alterations that made us sparkle and zing. We bought seats down near the front of the stalls, and they were worth the money, being in the action and so close to the stage The cast showed dedication... More

I have been dying to get to this show for years and it did not disappoint. The costumes are fantastic and the well known music is played/sung very very well. Even the bar and organisation seems good. The theatre is a little tired these days, but that's mostly because of its historical nature. I went with my brother and his... More
