James was the perfect guide for my family’s visit to London ! His friendly , professional manner & knowledge of all things London were obvious from the start ! I knew we were in good hands ! My granddaughters , ages 17 & 14 were enthralled with the history lesson of The Tower of London, Traitors gate , the Crown Jewels ! It was a lovely time , we felt like we were with a friend & hope we get to do another tour with James.

James is an amazing tour guide! We were lucky enough to have two days of tours with him in London. He has vast knowledge of the history of London and its many sights. In addition to being a fantastic guide, he is also a lovely person to chat with!

My tour with James exceeded all my expectations for a tour of London. His knowledge and passion of Londons rich history, his desire to guide you to the best views and his friendly manner set the bar for being one of the best tours I have ever been on.

My time planning and briefing James was very a very delightful experience. He was prompt, astute, Knowledgeable and very friendly. All our guest had beaming smiles and great feedback after a 2h 30 mins tour.

We visited London for the first time as a family and wanted to get a head start on understanding the lay of the land so we hired James to give us a half day tour to start our trip. He communicated in advance, was on time, and provided us with an excellent walking tour of London (Westminster area +). He was very engaging, super energetic, and got our trip off to an excellent start. We would absolutely recommend James.

James is personable and fun to spend your touring time with. He is reliable and accommodating, adjusting the timing and itinerary based on the group needs. We had a multigenerational family grouping and we ALL had a great day with James !

If you’re looking for someone to take you on a walking tour (or more) of London, you must consider the guide we recently had in James Hamill. Immediately upon meeting him we knew we were in for an excellent experience. On time, friendly, upbeat, and very engaging right out of the box, we couldn’t have been more excited to get started on our tour with James. He did not disappoint! He asked us what we were interested in seeing and made some wonderful suggestions from the get go. His extensive knowledge of all things London made our tour fantastic. He is well versed in all of the traditional sights one would want to see and learn about, but what made our tour truly special was his personal touch clueing us in on bits that you won’t hear about on other tours. This man knows London! Always engaging, never boring, continuously sharing his tremendous knowledge of the city, and keeping things fun. We are already planning our next trip to London and instead of a half day with James, we will be doing at least a full day plus.

My boyfriend, father, and I did a private tour with James and it was the highlight of our visit! James is an absolute gem and took us to all of the must-see highlights around London. He is incredibly knowledgable on a wide array of subjects and catered the tour specifically around what we were most interested in. I cannot recommend a tour with James enough! Following our tour, James even provided a detailed follow up email about items we had discussed and we used it as a reference for the remainder of our trip.

We could tell from the moment of greeting that it would be a thoroughly enjoyable day with James. His passion, enthusiasm and love of the sights and their history were contagious. With his deep and wide knowledge of Westminster Abbey, we could have spent the entire time there. But, we moved on after 1-2 hours and rounded out the day with visits to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Tower of London, and a walk across Tower Bridge to and through Borough Market. James was flexible and personable, reading the mood of our teenagers beautifully and tailoring the day so that it was fun and engaging for all. We will remain ever grateful for this day with James.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that James was the BEST part of our trip to London! We spent all day with him, going to Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, and Tower of London all in one day. He showed us all the “bits and bobs”, took us down his favorite side streets, filled us with history and fun facts of London, and we even saw a 2000 year old piece of history in the most unexpected place (I won’t share here so I don’t ruin it for you)!
His company is delightful, his knowledge superb, and his wit is unmatched. If you don’t book a tour with him in England, you’re doing London wrong.
