About
We are a charity run entirely by volunteers providing trips on a historic canal narrowboat, 'Tarporley', for the benefit of people living or working in Camden (and adjoining areas), especially those who are disadvantaged economically or socially. We were set up in 1996 and are based at Kings Cross on the Regents Canal. Groups book the whole boat for trips of a few hours, a full day or longer.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Meeting Room (a charity who support vulnerable and socially isolated people) are very grateful to CCNA for the two very successful 3-day trips our clients have enjoyed this year during June and September. The 12 of us onboard thoroughly enjoy the whole experience. For most of our clients this is their only holiday of the year so there is always great anticipation and excitement. In our crazy busy world, gently chugging along the canal is magical and rejuvenating. Our clients help plan and prepare the meals, steer the boat, secure it when we stop for the night etc. The CCNA volunteers are so kind, friendly and understanding. They eat with us and laugh with us.
CCNA offer a great service to charities working with disadvantaged groups.
Our clients gain huge benefit from these few days away. Thank You and we hope to be back next year!

Had a surprisingly entertaining time on a boat trip from King's Cross to Little Venice and back. It's fun just to watch the scenery and people passing by. Going through the locks and long tunnels is also outside normal experience. The crew were friendly and down to earth. We had a great time.

We are a photography group and Marcus is a great host. He explained all the safety rules for us first, and we have a great time taking pictures of our models and seeing how the locks operates. We also have a chance to go back onshore for a break and get some lunch. Overall a very nice memorable day

I really enjoyed the Tour around the canals on board of the narrowboat 'Tarporley'! Marcus, Luna and all the staff have been really great to assist us during the trip, really nice and welcoming people and efficient in giving us safety instructions before and during the trip. I can't thank them enough also to rescue my hat which flew away and fell into the water, you were absolutely star!
It was an amazing experience, I met lovely people and had a lot of fun.
It will always be one of the best memories in London!
Totally recommended it!

The team were terrific. Very clear instructions before the day, and on the boat.
Had the safety checks, and boat tour, then sat back as we enjoyed 6 hours of lovely scenery. We were photographed a lot! All those jealous strangers wishing they had the fun of going through locks and under the willow trees, and inside the tunnels. Very enjoyable.

Seeing London from another angle - having a go at opening locks and steering a historic narrowboat. The crew were very helpful and answered all our questions about the Regent's Canal. We were able to take our own food and drink and use their kitchen equipment.
