Fantastically created exhibition on South Africa followed by a World tour of Ancient cultures. In these Divisive Times its Fascinating to note that all cultures have more in common historically. Long Live The Global Village Highly recommended and a lot is free.

It's such a great chance in case you are history lovers not just walk for a few minutes but please pay attention to every section. It pity to see some audiences are not respect to the place, some just make jokes about the history, it's sensitive though. Anyway you can't control an audience unless they should have their own respect.

You could easily spend a few hours, it's quite big. You can see everything from egyption mummies to 19 century jewelry. Very diverse which makes it a must see for everyone. And it's free.

This is one of the best museums I have ever visited! A huge collection in an impressive building. Well worth a visit so much to learn. Allow at least 4 hours for the museum as a minimum

Put simply the best museum I've ever visited. Brilliant temporary and permanent exhibits, some obscure others the big draws. I've spent hours looking at everything from Greco-Roman statues, through Islamic art and Mexican revolutionary art. Wonderful, you could spend days here.

The visit overall was good although we had to pay extra to see the new exhibitions there. We opted not to see any extra exhibitions. It gets quite crowded around the museum. We visited the tea room which is expensive. It is not good to rope off large areas of the refreshment area to then see future staff being interviewed... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
