The British Museum is full of ancient artifacts that the British brought back with them and acquired mostly during the colonial era. It's truly a marvel worth your time and it is free. You will need a full day to see everything the museum has...More

I had an interest in seeing Lindow man or Peat Marsh man at London's museum. I found him and another very well preserved man Gienen man which was interesting. The museum had so many interesting exhibits as you would expect plus a multitude of school...More

It has some wonderful exhibits, unfortunately it is laid out so if you walk the wrong way once you will most likely not be able to make it back! They also have no air conditioning, there were a few free standing fans but they were...More

Though the collections are impressive, I dare say there are too many which makes the experience overwhelming. I would advise doing some research before going to the museum so you can streamline your experience. We went on an unusually hot day and some rooms were...More

We were told that we could check our carry-on once inside, but that is false. I'm guessing because of security no bags or back packs are allowed. You must take it to one of a couple of close-by locales to check it for £3 for...More

I took my 2 boys there and it was so fun! (I think I am the most excited one!) We managed only to see the Egyptian, Assyrian, and Romans sections. That in itself can be a full day(s) trip for myself. I wish I had...More

A must see. Become immersed in ancient history viewing the huge collection of artifacts. Some exhibits change, which adds variety. The Rosetta Stone is incredible. Yes, it can be crowded, so go when it opens. A walking tour with a guide or an audio tour...More
