Soho used to be a dark underbelly part of London - interesting, but with a hard edge. It is now far more tourist friendly, with a much cleaner image across most of its area. Well worth a visit - and try and learn some of the history about the area while there.

A buzzy part of London, packed with loads of members clubs and restaurants. Visited Soho House on Dean Street. Spent far too much money here on my holiday, but well worth the experience.

I particularly love delving into the side streets of Soho. Many eateries and independent shops. Lots of popular night spots. The nightlife in Soho is young, lively and happening. As for me, I like having a drink and watch the passersby heading to and from night spots; their excitement is uplifting. Recommended!

If you read just a few of my reviews, you'll quickly notice I'm not a fan of crowds. Soho is normally a crowded place, especially on weekends and weeknights. That said, there are some pretty cool hidden restaurants to be found here. And, if you fancy going out afterwards, you're already in a great place. It's also easily accessible by... More

A very large area in the middle of west end with a large selection of international restaurants, bars, and English pubs. We normally go there for lunch during the day ,because it gets very busy during the night. There are also many car parks nearby which are easily accessable. Soho square is very close to Oxford Street, and is very... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
