The museum was much bigger than we thought and actually ran out of time. It is very good for a free attraction and I found it interesting even though I didn't think I would. I think this is perfect for families with kids

I’ve been to a few maritime museums around the world and have always enjoyed it. Considering the hugely eventful maritime history Britain’s how, I had high hopes for this museum. I was throughly disappointed. Very little on our naval battles, very little on the personal stories of those at sea, very little on how it impacted the history of the country. It seemed really tame and lifeless. Some good things, plenty on trade and models of ships etc, but that’s pretty much it. National Museum Greenwich – One of the larger maritime museums in the world, this place celebrates sailing. Of particular note is the exhibit of sailing ship figureheads. I really enjoyed my visit even though I was initially unsure, I am not a great fan of model boats and paintings of maritime heroes but I do enjoy history and there was bucket loads of that. Very relaxed poodle round with so few visitors, assisted by charming staff.
