We visited as part of a day trip to Greenwich. We had prebooked tickets although it was free to enter. We had to wait for our allotted time to ensure social distancing. We enjoyed our fairly short visit to Queens House which was primarily to see the Tulip Staircase which was beautiful. Recommended.…

I found the Queen's House art gallery very entertaining with a good variety of paintings and sculptures, in cluding some very famous works. I was lucky enough to attend at a time when the Woburn Collection (from Woburn Abbbey in Bedfordshire) was on loan to the gallery. This included several very well known works, most excitingly a portrait of a triumphant Elizabeth I, pictured in her most regal finery with a backdrop of windows giving on scenes of the defeat of the Spanish Arnada. All of these great and contrasting sites are withing a very short walk of each other, making for a superb day out. The Queen's House Gallery is free to enter but you must book a slot during the covid crisis.…

Excellent collection of art - though not knowing what is from the permanent collection and what is from the Woburn treasures, I get the feeling that now is the perfect time to visit the Queen's House. I am a sucker for spiral staircases, their Tulip staircase is good. Check out the Canaletto painting which gives you an idea of what the Greenwich river view was like in the 18th century. The Covid one-way system worked well.…
