Perfect for Family and worth the time. I was afraid with the imminent moving of location the museum, and visiting on one of the very last Sundays it would feel rushed. Quite the opposite. We had a lovely time pouring over the artifacts. Very well curated and we enjoyed the “discoveries” stuck on each display to denote new findings in the research. The Greenwich location is lovely and I hope the next iteration of this collection will honor our history with as much professionalism and respect.

Really interesting and well thought out little museum which explained what Judaism is all about. It also tells the holocaust in a very humbling and thought provoking way.
The only disappointment is that many of the videos and interactive exhibits don’t work so this needs to be sorted out otherwise you miss out on lots of facts

What a wonderful museum. Well worth and hour or two, especially if you in the Camden area anyway. Really fascinating and simple introduction in to Jewish beliefs and culture. Then history of Jews, especially in Europe and the UK and London in particular. Special exhibit on a holocaust survivor too, and his life afterwards.

This really is a 'Dont Miss' .

BTW the 'cafe' is really a few seats with coffee and cake for a rest after as can be an emotional visit.

All the staff couldn't be more helpful. One older lady took me on a mini tour and explained her family's amazing history as we went round.

As a cockney, my suggestion for tourists? Go to Brick Lane on a Sunday too for best beigels in London and some fascinating shops and stalls, Camden is just full of chains and tourist tat nowadays, and of course it's the old Jewish part of London...long gone though..

We visited the museum during the Summer and it was so interesting to learn about Jewish London history. So many fascinating objects on display with great detail on the purpose of items, along with interesting information about Jewish customs. Especially moving is the poignant display describing the long life of a very brave man, Leon Greenman, whose story gave a personal insight to the tragedy which befell millions of people.

I visited the Jewish Museum for a few hours during my afternoon/evening in Camden and had a fascinating experience, only knowing a surface level knowledge of Judaism and the history of the Jews in the UK I found the whole experience immensely informative and eye-opening with exhibitions that were very well presented. Plus the story of Leon Greenman I was not familiar with and it was both heartbreaking and inspiring.

For the 7.50 I paid for entry aswell for me it represented great value for money and mention goes to the staff on my visit, the young lady on reception was very welcoming and was of great help when I visited the shop at the end of my visit and volunteer Majorie was a right character in the nicest possible way and immensely fascinating to listen to.

An excellent way to spend 2 hours or even a whole afternoon in Camden and will be sure to bring my friend to visit when I'm next in Camden.

Excellent museum to go in sad too due to the history of the holocaust but makes you think that people lost lives due to their faith

Visited this museum in order to see the Charlotte Saloman exhibition. The paintings were displayed in rather darkened rooms which made it somewhat difficult for me to see them that well. There was a slide show documenting her paintings and life which showed them in their true beauty though. The rest of the museum was interesting though. The cafe is functional and the cafe staff rather grumpy.

The museum is Nice. It does a good job at presenting Judaism and the history of Jews in the UK. If you are already familiar with Judaism and are interested in the Jewish history of the UK you will probably enjoy much more taking the London Walks Jewish tour of London City and East side. If you are, However, not familiar with Judaism this museum is a very good option.
