I went to a meeting in Leister Square in May. We didn't get the tube, so we decided to walk. We walked through Horseguards Parade and then along the Embankment. What a fab walk that was too.

Always a good day out just to wander along the South Bank looking at the various attractions. Great for the kids as there's usually a load of street entertainers on show (but there was only one lot yesterday-weird) Loads of places selling food and drink...More

We took a boat ridge along the South Bank with our Oyster Card. It is part of their bus system. It was a great way to see some sights...riding along the river and getting a different point of view! Would recommend at least once! Easy...More

Gets extremely crowded on a sunny day. Lots to do but also lots of queuing is inevitable. Noisy and not the place to go if you want a quiet rest from sightseeing!
