Knocked down earls court has been demolished for a new housing development. A real shame an icon of art deco.

The neighborhood is quite interesting, I felt safe and I traveled with small children, within a couple feet you found a fast food restaurant as well as Nando delicious chicken place and cafeterias, couple stores and mini supermarket I would stay again in this neighborhood.

This is one of my favorite districts in London considering its good hotels, nice restaurants and very good traffic connection with city center. It is a safe and quiet neighborhood, great choice while staying in London.

My best area to stay while in London.. Calm and peaceful neighbourhood.. The main station is the best choice to central London or to Heathrow airport.. Lots of hotels and accommodations to choose.. Big number of shops, restaurants, cafes and all what you require to enjoy your stay and time..

A great place for a hotel stay. Its a quiet neighborhood and close to the best underground station (for both town center and Heathrow).

Earl's Court is a large indoor arena used for a wide variety of shows and exhibitions. Check out the schedule and see if there is something happing here while you are in London. It is easy to get to by bus or metro and is an enjoyable facility.

I may have just been a bit buzzed off the 4 tall pints I had at the pub there watching England beat Slovenia in a Euro Qualifier, but stumbling back to Chelsea thru this neighborhood was really a blast for this Yankee!

A few places to eat, but not one of the more famous or tourist areas of London. Not much happening here apart from the tube station.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
