Neighbourhood: Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.

    What a venue!
Beautiful theatre. Legroom in the stalls was plentiful. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. We had a kind and reassuring host come and check on us throughout as my son has additional needs which is always so appreciated when in unfamiliar surroundings.

    Great Theatre
Last minute “you’ll love it” purchase encouraged by GF because we’d had a fairly quiet day up until then. Book of Mormons was the show. Mainly enjoyed it though 1st half was best. Theatre itself was great. Modern, clean, loads of legroom and my GF found the drinks quite inexpensive. Right on edge of Leicester Square.

    A masterpiece!
This was one of the funniest plays I've ever seen. The way they aproach the nonsense of of human social creations is genius. It may make some people unfonfotable to put their moral backbone under the microscope but that is exactly what they were aiming for. Go with an open mind and just enjoy!

    WOW, what a show
The family attended the show, Book of Mormon. A risky show with language and actions some may find offensive but a great show non the less Staff were really helpful and as you are able to order ore drinks both before the show and for the interval it was handy. If anyone needs assistances just enquire they are helpful

    Great Venue
Great venue with very helpful staff , plenty of places to buy drinks and the toilets were very clean. The seats were quite uncomfortable and could do with a makeover , but we had an amazing view of the stage. We went to see The Book of Mormon which was very , very funny and very well produced, a highly recommended show.

    Classic old theater experience
We booked tix for the Book of Mormon while staying in London for a couple days. The POW theater is located in the West End, very similar to Broadway in NYC. We had center stage tix, a few rows back. While the location was great, the seats were a little uncomfortable and cramped....no "man-spreading" allowed. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed the show and would do it again next time we're in town.

They were very organised, the queue was really long when I arrived and it progressed really quickly.

Everyone was seated way before the curtain went up.

You can also order intermission drinks at the start.

There is a weird design though, you need to go all the way downstairs, only to go upstairs again at the other end of the room, then bathrooms and cloak room are all up and down stairs also.
The exit takes you directly outside which is great to not have to wind your way back out again.

The location of the theatre is really good.

We recently went to see the Book of Mormon at the prince of wales. Due to a series of unfortunate events we had to take our young son (no judgement please 🙈). Staff were really helpful, a few checked we knew about the content but managed to do so in a non judgemental way.
The reason I have marked the theatre down is that the toilet situation is ridiculous. There are 2 sets of toilets neither of which have many cubicles. We were in the second row of the stalls which was a staircase away from either set of toilets. During the interval the queue for the ladies reached all the way up the stairs and round the corner and many people didn’t get to the front before the performance restarted. More toilets please, this is the worst I have seen at any theatre.

West End at its best! Unbeatable musicals. Books of Mormons irreverent comedy, hugely hilarious. The young actors are boosting of energy and talent. The decors are impressive. A lovely weekend show.

I saw the Windsors Endgame and thoroughly enjoyed it. The theatre has a lovely art deco style and is worth a visit just to enjoy that. With Covid restrictions we had to queue outside for a while to enable all necessary checks to be done and were relieved the rain had stopped.

‘The Book of Mormon’ is by far and away the single best show I have ever seen, and watching it for a second time yesterday confirmed this for me. The location of the Prince of Wales Theatre is great for what should be considered THE must-watch show for as long as its run continues. I was worried that, given that the show is now over ten years old, it might have aged poorly…nope. It’s still as hilarious, impressive and, in parts, genuinely thought-provoking as it was when it came out.

We saw a wonderful musical, in this theatre, called The Book of Mormon. The singers were awesome as their acted was also amazing. The performance was a satire about the Christian denomination. It humorously shed light on the Mormon beliefs and ideologies. The sound, lighting and ushering was great. The seats were very comfortable. The theatre itself was very opulent. Overall a great experience.

Visited the theatre to watch Book of Mormon. This was my first theatre visit in UK as I'm not a big fan of stage performances but I did enjoy the visit. We were in circle seats where you get a bit of space but have limited view of the play. They also have food served here but the food/drink service close as soon as the play begins. The seating areas were clean and pristine so kudos to the staff!

I have seen this show here before but has decided to bring my girlfriend for her birthday and she loved it. Great story, choreography and singing makes it one of the best, with a very risky subject matter and a large slice of South Park. Great theatre and hopefully we will come back in the future to see it again.

This is a review of the Prince of Wales Theatre, not of The Book of Mormon, which I found impressive for singing, dancing, and decoration, but mildly irritating for unnecessary bawdy language and blasphemy.

The Theatre is well kept. Its attendants were polite and professional.
My aisle seat for Mormon was very good. (I do not mind standing to allow others to pass down the row.)
The toilets were clean and almost sufficient for the interval crowd of men.
The only significant improvement to suggest is a more rapid service of drinks during the interval.

We visited here to see The Windsor's Endgame, which was a great show.

The staff were excellent, with disabled people. They escorted us to our seats and brought drinks to us, they even checked if we wanted anything in the interval. They also escorted us out.

Nothing was too much trouble.

It was a very pleasant evening and the theatre staff are excellent.
