Attractive place to be, but the market is not much good. Mostly full of tourist tat. The main attraction of Covent Garden is that you are in the centre of things. Close to the Royal Opera House and theatres.

Lots of places to eat around here. I went on Antique Day at the Jubilee Market day (not the same as the Apple Market), located across in Jubilee Hall. Great deals to be had here so be sure to stop by for some shopping. Much less expensive than the retail stores. Also be sure to stop by the Apple Market... More

Coventry Garden is a great place to spend at lease an afternoon, my favourite place to have a beer and Pasty is a very quaint 17th century building, the waitresses will bring your food and beverage to you, it is very nostalgic you feel as though you have turned the clock back 400 years, the only thing you will notice... Lot of history for this area and tube stop very convenient. It has built up to a large shopping and restaurant location with lots of street entertainers and other people to watch Those that want to see opera or ballet this is your location as well. Just roam the area and enjoy. I go there and stay nearby every trip.

Covent Garden
Whether you're headed here to check out the multitude of shops, theaters, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, or simply to be among the multitude of people who pass through this pretty part of town, you'll love soaking up the festive and historic atmosphere in and around Covent Garden. Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.
