We visited because research showed the fish and chips is good. And it is. It had good flavor and came quickly. They have some good beers including cask beers. You can reserve a table before hand. The bar downstairs gets busy and may have a crowd to go through. We sat upstairs and really enjoyed our visit.

We were there on a Saturday evening and were lucky enough to get a table in the very small first floor room. Moreover, we were rewarded with very decent dishes (BBQ beef sausage with mash as well as cod & chips) that were the perfect start to our week in London. Definitely recommended!

After walking a lot it just started to rain. I really wanted some kind of pub food. We quickly check what is around and this place popped out. I new it will not be fancy place but it is clean with friendly staff. Restaurant part upstairs is small and cosy. I had a burger and a beer and that just... More

We arrived early at about 5pm and had our choice of quaint tables upstairs and a decent menu with a lovely drinks choice. The history of the place is worth researching as it makes the visit that little bit more special. Hugely busy bar scene downstairs - and rightly so! Food was cooked to perfection and service quick. perfect stop... More

We decided to have a quick meal here and was lucky to get a table! The dining area is upstairs with its own small bar and 6 tables, its all a tight squeeze but worth it! The food is great and the chips are amazing! Will definitely return!

Always a great welcome in the Dog & Duck. Great range of well kept cask ales in a gorgeous Victorian setting. Not to be missed.

We were there on St. Pat's day (a bit fraught.) Fun, friendly place. Jam packed so we had our drinks on the pavement. Great vibe. Good place to grab a drink, some local color.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
