Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A big hello to Gary, Our tour has been epic, epic. Everything (apart from England not winning) has been fabulous - I’m surrounded by so many happy fellow travellers. India is always amazing, but the guided walk by ‘street kids’ was sensational (a humbling experience). Your the best Gary, long may you reign! Kindest regards, Happy Rich

My wife and I went to the group stages of the t20 World Cup tour in Australia in October and November 2022.
Firstly, I would say that we had an enjoyable trip and made the most of our time in Australia, visiting family and friends as well as watching the cricket. I would, however, like to make a few comments and suggestions in order to help to improve your services.
Firstly, I would suggest an informal drinks reception for the whole group at the start of the tour in order to get to know each other better and establish a relationship with the group and its leader.
More information is needed from the group leader on a daily basis eg places to visit, local transportation, airport transfers/ check in information. Overall, the communication was very poor.
We were given incorrect flight information for the first internal flight which we pointed out to the group leader. He was unable to contact the other affected group members until 6am the following day.
There was a general feeling within some of the group that everyone was left to fend for themselves during and following transfers. This state of uncertainty does not reflect well on an established travel company. It may be worth considering some local input with greater knowledge, or reducing the numbers on the tour. We have been on three other organised cricket tours which provided much better information and satisfaction for its customers.
The accommodation was satisfactory in most places although the Quincy in Melbourne is perhaps a bit too much of a boutique hotel for your clients. Our room there was extremely small ie only one of us could move about at one time. The swimming pool facilities at each venue left a lot to be desired.
The cricket tickets and seating arrangements were fine, especially in Sydney.
Whilst we understand you were operating in difficult circumstances, we feel that there is room for improvement in order to provide a higher level of service to your customers.
I have no desire or motivation to disrespect ICT but I would have appreciated a response to the above comments that I sent to you after the tour.

Dear Trevor,
Thank you for the honest and valuable feedback on your tour with us to Australia in 2022.
We are delighted that overall, you enjoyed your tour.
As you mentioned this was a very challenging time for the travel industry emerging from the covid affected period. The lack of available staff, particularly in Australia, did detract from our normal levels of service and communication. For this I can only apologise and assure you that ICT as a company are now fully staffed and looking forward to touring with our usual compliment of tour managers for the forthcoming winter 2023/24.
One of the regular features on our tours is an informal ‘Welcome’ function so you can meet the tour leader and the other members of the touring group. However, as I understand it this gathering was affected by the heavily delayed Qantas flight which the majority of the group were due to arrive on from London. Unfortunately, travel disruption can affect our best laid plans as it did on this occasion.
We have since reviewed our communication procedures on this tour and we are confident that future tours will not have the same issues you faced in Australia.
The incorrect flight details you mentioned was a result of a schedule change by the airline. At this time Qantas were making an unprecedented amount of schedule changes to save on their operating costs. Clearly, we did not manage to get this information to our tour leader quickly enough but as I understand it everyone made their designated flight without incident.
In regards to the Quincy Hotel it was not our initial choice for the tour group. Prior to any major touring destination we would personally check, when feasible, and approve new hotels for their suitability. However, when we were planning this tour in early 2022 travel to Australia was prohibited by a long quarantine procedure. It would be unrealistic to go through this for the sake of checking one hotel. Additionally, the hotels in Melbourne during this period were heavily booked due to the highly popular India v Pakistan match being scheduled at the same time in the same city. Even for a city the size of Melbourne hotel group space was very difficult to secure within an acceptable distance of the stadium and the city centre. As a result we accepted the Quincey Hotel as the best option available to us at the time. For all our tours we understand how important it is to select the right accommodation and as a company we strive to get this right as much as possible.
I am presuming the other cricket tours you mentioned were trips taken pre-covid. If so then I would draw your attention to our positive reviews during this time as a fairer comparison. However, I understand you can only comment on your personal experience. Thanks again for your suggestions and comments, all feedback is appreciated and valued.

A firm who buy flights, book hotels and match tickets with virtually no day to day rep. Arrived in Australia to find no one met us at the airport, or the hotel, we when we eventually got there. Another cricket tour company used the same hotel and had a clear presence, notice board and at least an hour each day for queries from their customers. ITC had one guy (who You had to find) who offered no local knowledge, such as free trams in Central adelaide and melbourne, or suggested tourist attractions. The only communication was from a WhatsApp message, one such message told me I would be picked up from the hotel 30 mins after the internal flight had left! I did have to check twice this information was incorrect. I have I have been on summer, ski and cricket tours previously and have found the tour reps helpful, but ITC need to up their game, the personal touch is important. My lasting impression (speaking to others as well as my personal experience) is that the likes of gullivers, howzat and barmy army tours will be getting more business from people who have travelled with ITC in the past. Below is example of notice board with information on it and itc blank pillar

Dear Shirley,
I am sorry that you didn't enjoy our services whilst on tour. I think this may have been coloured by your travel with other companies and consequently we didn't meet your expectations. We consciously do not take boards with us to display info because we prefer to talk to our clients, run a WhatsApp group and are available at most times not just 1 restricted hour a day. Hotels also do not always allow pop up banners for display.
I am not sure who you spoke with but we have no other complaints about the tour. Australia came out of pandemic a year after us and that did impact service levels from our suppliers. The delayed flight and bad weather clearly put clients in the wrong frame of mind but both were beyond our control. I agree local knowledge is important but as we had been unable to visit prior to the trip as Australia was locked down our knowledge was lacking.
We have excellent reviews from clients as can be seen below. Whilst we are sorry to loose any client I do think our tours will not meet your future expectations and am sure that the previous companies you have travelled with will be delighted to have you book with them again. We intentionally do not do what others do as it would be pointless if we were all the same.
Once again I can only apologise for your lack of enjoyment in Australia.

We (my partner and our 20+ son) went to Barbados to watch a test match back in Jan 2019. We were so impressed with ICT, the organisation, personalisation, help and advice that we also went to Cape Town with them in Dec 19/Jan 2020. If you're looking for an organised cricket tour, look no further! We are booking a West Indies package shortly.

My best friend and I went to Antigua to watch England play in a one day tour and went with ICT. Excellent service and tickets and transport to and from the hotel and the ground were all included and we didn’t have any complaints. Virgin Airlines flights and 10 days in the Caribbean watching cricket what’s to complain about. Try them out and enjoy I’ll be back definitely.

If you’re looking for a great cricket trip with a personal touch then you should book with ICT every time. Great inside knowledge of hotels and the cricket organisations around the world mean that they can tailor your trip to whatever you need. Cape Town for The New Year Test was an outstanding trip - great hotel, good extra events, superb New Year dinner and an England win with 8 overs to spare! We have been on several trips and all have been excellent - wouldn’t use anyone else!! Thank you Sarah and the team and see you in the Caribbean in 2022!

This was the first time my husband John, and I had ever been on a cricket tour. John is an umpire in our local premier league, and it was one of the must do's on his bucket list when he retired from work. Neither of us was disappointed. We went to see the 2nd and third tests is Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Our group leader was Dominic, and he looked after us while we were in Cape Town. All the trips we had booked, as well as the New Years Eve party on the Waterfront, were very well organised. A very big thank you to all the reps, Gary, Jonty and of course Sara and Richard, for making the whole trip an experience we will cherish for the rest of our days

We have booked 2 trips to Antigua for test matches with Sara and her team. The hotels, seats and transfers were great, (sadly not matched by the England team’s performance on the pitch!). The personalised service is why we will keep returning. Highly recommended.

I booked in September via British Airways a holiday to Cape Town , and belived I could source my own tickets for the five day match , what a mistake to make ! I then had a trip no tickets match sold out , I phone Sarah she sorted out a superb package in a box , transfers food and drink , out of the hot sun , just perfect , she even organised a Cricket Match on the day after the test , Michael Holding , Robin Jackman and JP Duminy popped in and were interviewed in the bar , by a memeber of her staff in a very professional manner , when it was over , transport back to my hotel , so dont be a fool as I was trying to do it your self , just book with the people who know exactly what they are doing , sit back relax enjoy the cricket ....just five star
