Spa day break with a view across the river to the O2. Great value and lovely spa. Recommend afternoon tea. Staff super helpful and friendly. Easy walk to the bars, shops and restaurants in Canary Wharf.

The East River Spa is hidden little gem set between Canary Wharf and East India. The closest DLR station is East India however, it is a 15mins walk from Canary Wharf. The spa is attached to the Radisson Blu Hotel and it looks fairly new.

It's a compact spa with a relaxation area with heated chairs, sauna, steam room and an extensive treatment list. The staff are friendly, professional and we received great treatments. We changed the times for our afternoon tea at Scoff and Banter the staff at the spa happily handled all the changes for us.

Scoff and Banter - great food with wonderful views. They accommodated our allergies and last minute changes and the service was wonderful from staff at the restaurant even though it was busy.

A great little find and I would recommend a visit.

I got bought a red letter day spa and wanted to use it in conjunction with going to a theatre trip in London with my partner. This spa is idea for this. It doesn't have a pool, hot tub or jacuzzi, but if you go with the mindset of going for an amazing massage and for a nice relaxed read (with potential use of steam room/sauna) this is ideal. The staff are really helpful both in the spa and associated Radisson hotel. There is a nice relaxation room to sit and chill in. The massage I would say was amazing! it was really firm as requested and lasted the duration of the expected time. In addition to this I can suggest that if you are thinking of doing this activity a nice added thing to do is to catch the thames clipper (ferry) from canary wharf to embankment pier for a nice boat trip down to where the theatres are.

My sister and I booked the urban retreat option, on a Saturday, including a 30 minthe treatment was a Swedish back massage. Definitely one of the better massages I've had. Great pressure, great wide table, they turn down the lights and put a roll under your feet for comfort. Best part was the hot towel at the end. That was bliss. So hats off to Sanda my therapist.

Other facilities are mixed sex steam and sauna which are standard. Plus 4 "experience showers" which are glorified showers. The relaxation room has 6 hot stone loungers which were sooo good. Plus water, tea, fruit available. So, no pool or Jacuzzi which I knew beforehand.

The women's changing room is small with only one private room to change in that fits 2-3 people. There is a hair dryer and even straighteners which I thought was a nice touch.

Lovely view from the mezzanine restaurant of the hotel wherw food was served. Afternoon tea was not very good sadly. Sandwiches that were drying out. Scones that crumbled to pieces upon cutting. Patisseries were sadly average.

Not the best value for money for £75 as the food wasn't great but overall it was a lovely afternoon.

I came to this spa to try a different type of massage and my first pedicure...the beautician was fantastic! Kind, polite, relaxing to speak with (name: Asmaa) the service from everyone was excellent but her massage and treatment was lovely! I would recommend her for treatment but the entire spa is really lovely! Big giant thumbs up! I will definitely be returning!

I booked the Urban Retreat package at the last minute for me and my partner. We both opted for the 30 min back massage which was fantastic!
Luckily, as we could make a Monday arvo we had the spa to ourselves for the majority, which meant we could try all the facilities at our leisure.
All the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, we had such a lovely time.
Thank you!

Me and my partner recently visited the East River Spa and I’m disappointed.

We were really looking forward to this spa day and we booked to both have a couples massage but the massage was not great at all and definitely not worth the money we paid. I didn’t feel as though much effort was put into the massage and even my partner agreed with me in saying that it was very average and was expecting much more.

In the relaxation room the lounge beds were at an extremely high temperature and was actually burning our skin so we couldn’t enjoy it whatsoever and couldn’t even bear to lay down for longer than a minute. We tried laying our towels down but even still it was at an unbearable temperature.

I paid quite a lot of money and came in with high expectations for a relaxing spa day for my partner and I but in truth the only part we were able to use was the sauna and steam room which we could have used at our local gym.

After we left I emailed to ask for a refund but was refused due to the fact I did not complain while I was there but the truth is I hate complaining in person and prefer to email due to having social anxiety which makes it very difficult having to interact let alone complain. I explained this and haven’t had any response whatsoever so I have basically just been ignored. Worse customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Definitively not worth it!

I bought to my boyfriend a spa retreat with massage and lunch. We made full use of sauna facilities which was great and Sanda&Dolores made our expression even better with nice relaxing back massages in the same room for couple. We finished off with nice lunch in Scoff and banter which was excellent! Would definitely come back!!

My partner bought me a massage for two with spa access and afternoon tea via buyagift for an anniversary present.

Arriving at the Raddison, the hotel was nicely presented and decorated well. We was instructed where to go for the spa, once at the spa reception there was nobody to be found, we rang the bell several times and eventually came across a cleaner who went to get the receptionist.

We was given towels, gowns and flip flops and shown where the facilities were - steam room, sauna, relaxation room with hot beds. We were given two hours to use these facilities before our massage - far too long a time and the spa would greatly benefit from having a jacuzzi and/ or swimming pool.

The massages were very good and the therapists were lovely. The rooms were nicely decorated and they used great products. However, the therapists had to leave the room 3 times to stop staff members talking outside the room and to tell the cleaner to stop hoovering.

We mentioned this to the receptionist as we were leaving to go to our afternoon tea and was offered a pretty pathetic apology and then just directed where to go.

The experience wasn’t terrible but definitely could have been improved just by simple professionalism and more facilities to use.

The afternoon tea was also good but not mind blowing. We was sat next to the only other table in use out of the whole restaurant which was a little uncomfortable as we wanted to relax and they were very loud.

The afternoon tea took a long time to come out baring in mind there was only us and one other couple there. I was also disappointed that they didn’t have loose tea leaves and I wasn’t told this when I ordered the jasmine tea.

Again, some more small improvements could be made.

I came here with a friend who I'd given the Urban Retreat as a birthday present and we enjoyed it. The place is quite small but wasn't too busy on a Sunday afternoon which was nice. My friend and I are from Finland so the sauna was underwhelming but that's what we expected. The massage was really nice and the Afternoon Tea downstairs in the restaurant was one of the best afternoon teas I've ever had although it came after a long wait. I wish there was a clock somewhere in the spa so you'd get a better idea of how much time you have before your massage.
