Have always wanted to do this and glad the hubby and I did. Our guide was brilliant, in costume and in character and was extremely knowledgeable about the whole Jack the Ripper situ. Pace was great and very informative. Our tour was slightly marred by two teenagers that kept following us around being obnoxious and rude, but that was not... More

We booked this online and really enjoyed the tour. We started out from Aldgate East tube and our tour guide Sinead lead us on an entertaining and educational tour around Whitechapel. She managed to portray the details of what happened with great reverence paying respect to the victims, but also kept the tour entertaining and fun. I would recommend comfy... More

Fabulous tour of Whitechapel on the Jack the Ripper Tour. Our guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The pace was good, not too quick but kept us moving around so we never got bored. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an interest in local history and the macabre!

So the BF booked the tour, wasn't really sure what to expect. Knew what it was about but had no idea how interesting this would be. The guide we had was very entertaining, she had a very theatrical way about her but she really did bring the story to life, getting the group of 20+ involved. Not only did the... More

Had a great time. Very informative and fun. Lots of walking but also a lot of stops to listen to the stories. Our guide Jamie (Betty) knew his stuff and really worked the group. Very personable and fun.

The tour is very informative and exciting. Our guide's name was Johnny and he was fantastic at his job. When we walked from place to place he showed interest in us. He asked personal questions which created a more friendly and personal tour.

We went on this tour around Valentine's Day and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did an amazing job of telling the story of the murders. Walking through the quiet, dark streets creates the perfect atmosphere for these gruesome tales. Our guide had some intriguing theories and insights surrounding the murders that completely fascinated me.... More

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was leisurely and not rushed. The only recommendation would be a larger projector and microphone otherwise it was excellant

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighbourhood Profile
Spitalfields
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
