I went on this tour with a couple of friends. Our guide was Daphne and she was brilliant. She was so knowledgeable about the art and artists. Her passion and enthusiasm about the pieces was palpable. She made it so exciting. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone, interested in art or not

Daphne was our guide today and she was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her subject. Although it was very cold, we were able to forget about it and get involved in all the wonderful street art she showed us. Daphne knew so much about each artist and told us many anecdotes about them. We found the 'chewing gum art' particularly... More

My sister & teenage niece had a great tour with Daphne today. She shared extensive knowledge about the artists, their background and techniques, the history of street art and differences between graffiti and street art vs commercial art as well as the politics of where it came from and the impact on Shoreditch and London for artists, as she is... Daphne was an absolutely fantastic tour guide. My boyfriend and I went on the Shoreditch tour last Saturday. She introduced each piece explaining a little about the artist, the techniques they use and the messages behind their work. Her knowledge was extremely impressive and she had some personal anecdotes about the street artists. Her talks were really engaging and entertaining!... More

I was there with my 16 years old daughter and we both found the tour very interesting. We spent more than 2 hours walking around shoreditch, watching fabulous street art, learning a lot about it thanks to our very interesting guide. I look forward to come back to London and try another tour.

This was our second time on the trip and it was just as good as the first. Fabulous way to walk around the city of London, interactive, learn about artists and have a truly cultural experience.

We had an amazing tour with Daphne on Sunday. She was a fantastic guide and her deep knowledge of the art and the artists was admirable. She took us to some amazing spots and was engaging and generous with her time throughout. The tour was due to run until 3 but we still found ourselves with Daphne at almost 4pm.... More

This was a brilliant tour. The great thing about it was the variety of the art and the fact that it is a constantly changing gallery. Our guide MD was superb; her knowledge, stories, humour and interest in the subject really brought the art alive. The whole family certainly learnt so much and I now realise that street art doesn't... More

I am so happy that I booked a private walking tour for my family of four. It was one of the favorite things that we did during our week in London. Karim was an excellent guide! He was interesting, knowledgeable and really entertaining (and thought provoking) to listen to. We saw so many different styles of street art and learned... More

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
