I love their beer, but unfortunately the kernel is only opened as a bottle shop not a tap room. Boo! The map on trip advisor is also wrong! It is on the same side as brew by numbers just further East.I

We visited Kernel Brewery whilst on the bermondsey pub crawl and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Its one of those places which becomes better because of the other breweries. I will definitely return.

After earlier great experiences walking and drinking along the Beer Mile and stopping off at the various micro breweries, this Saturday we went to the Kernel only to be told that it no longer served drinks to the public. They cited their success and the masses of drinkers as a reason for closing down to the public, which seems an... More

They wouldn't open our beer as they said there was no more serving on the premises because "It got too crowded" then they wouldn't open the bottle for us because drinking out of the bottle was not the experience they wanted to create with their beer. It's A BREWERY, ON A SATURDAY, ON THE BEER MILE. Is the ONLY way... More

Had a few amazing beers in here - not too keen on the sours but the Cascade was lovely ! Shame we couldn't sit outside in the sunshine and shame it's closing down soon 😞

I was here earlier in the year, as part of the Bermondsey beer mile. Excellent selection and prices. Best beer in London, I just wish they opened for longer! A must for craft beer drinkers. Get there early if you want a seat, though, as it fills up quickly!

A shame it's only open once a week, and closes so early. We got there just after 2 which is when they stop serving, but when we explained we were visiting from abroad and had made a special trip to Bermondsey, the kind gentleman was happy to make an exception and pour us 3 pints. They were also selling serveral... More

The Kernel brewery is now the mainstay of the Bermondsey Beer scene. The Brewery is only open on Saturdays and quite literally gets busier the later in the day you get there, (you have been warned)! I have been there on at least 5 occasions and everytime you get a different beer brewed to an incredible standard. I would argue... More

Unlike all the other breweries in the Bermondsey beer mile, Kernel open 9-2 on Saturdays which means you either follow the crowds who move east to west and all pile in at 1.30, or start there, do one half of the mile, and then take a bus/taxi to the other end. Since Partizan was closed, everyone got there a bit... More
