We visited with friends and two six year old girls. The show and the funfair was just about okay. Not much in terms of food variety and quality so a bit disappointing. Our kids went on to the ferris wheel which took very slow rounds just filling it up and didn't last for more than a minute or two post... More

We loved every minute of this. The lanterns were simply beautiful and really well put together. My 6 year old son loved them. The only let down was the cost of the funfair, food and drink. I paid nearly Five pound for a hot chocolate and my sister paid the same for a portion of chips. Not to mention the... More

Went here last night - What a pretty evening. Not quite what I was expecting as I thought there would have been more actual lanterns. But it was wonderful. Signs told the story of the Silk Road and the walkway although dark in places was flat enough and not too many trip hazards- except the covered cables. I loved the... More

The Lanterns were fantastic and beautifully put together. There were signs with information and historical facts to go with them. There is a cafe at the beginning for hot drinks and plenty of toilets along the route. The route was much bigger than we expected. We used the HALFTERM20 code to get a discount of the quite high entry fee.... More

My boyfriend and I came here on Valentines Day. A very pretty display, extremely clever lanterns! Lovely to stroll around, I was very lucky because it was a particularly warm night, however I can imagine it gets very cold! Wellies were advised on here but we were fine in trainers. We stopped at the bar halfway round the route and... More

Visited last night after 8.00 o'clock. It was cold and muddy but well worth the visit. While you are walking through the lanterns you are entering in a magical world of lights. My favorite one was the giant pair of shoes. Food and drink stalls looked good , because we went there after dinner did not have anything to eat.But had... More

Lanterns were beautiful but when me and firends rushed to get to our ice rink booking as our train was delayed, we get there to find an 'ice' rink which isn't made of ice! And it absolutely tiny, not the 60 foot described! for £10.67 an absolute joke!!!! Than we go to return to the lantern festival and security tells... More

Visited on 14th Feb with my partner and two children aged 8 and 4 having purchased a Groupon voucher for the four of us to enter costing £50. Upon entering via the main gate there is a small restaurant/cafe and toilets. You make your way around via a set route, it took us around 1hr 20mins to get around. At... More

We attended on 13 February on a gorgeous sunny day so it wasn't completely dark until just before 6pm but no worries, we stopped to get a hot drink at the cafe - lovely hot spiced apple juice. The lanterns were stunning. Even my 17 year old son was into them! We arrive at 5pm, started walking around at about... More

My husband and I decided that we would do something for Valentines. Because the kids are now grown up, it now gives us time for us. So when we started to look through things to do with Valentines, we became very disheartened when all we found was places to eat or the cinema. I came across the event for the... More
