I love The Rookery in Streatham Common with its lovely gardens which was recommended to me. It's well maintained and has some lovely quiet spots where you can't hear London traffic. It's great that there's a public toilet which is not very well maintained and...More

The Rookery cafe at the top of the common serves the most amazing food and often has a vegan selection of cakes as well. The common itself has two paddling pools, (one at the top and one at the bottom), a play park for children...More

Fab time there, well organised and everyone enjoying themselves with no real issues. Would definitely go to this again

My daughter took me to her local park and guided us up to the Rookery, a wonderful oasis of calm in busy Streatham. The common was lovely, with masses of families, couples and individuals playing, picnicking and generally enjoying themselves, but the Rookery is something...More

Some lovely sheltered, tree lined walks and open spaces for a dog to run around and chase balls. Very pretty in the summer with lots of space to park and walk.

I have often driven past Streatham Common and thought was an uninspiring place it is. But then I was advised to visit The Rookery, at the top of the Common and that visit has radically changed my opinion. Set in the grounds of the house...More

I spend a lot of weekends sitting in the sun with my friends here. The kids park is very popular if that’s what you need and the rookery is like a secret garden. I recommend bringing a blanket, drinks and good company!

Close to our home home, we always enjoy the common. Good variety of open parkland space, trees, woodland, well marked paths and a formal garden. Great tea shop at the top.

Think of London and you probably think of a densely populated area with little greenery except for the well known parks. However, Streatham Common provides a large open space with great public transport, enough to keep the whole family and the shops right by too....More

Really nice open space of good green grass. Kids really enjoyed the play space which had a rocket climbing frame. I have passed recently and have seen that the rocket climbing frame has been removed and they are undertaking a regeneration of a new playground...More
