One of the most magical places in London and it's so huge! Full of paths, greenery and filled with amazing ponds. Me and my family like to travel up to North West London in search of a splendid picnicking place and this is it.

There's no better place to spend a sunny day in London. Such a beautiful space that's full of nature. You can even swim in the lakes! Only criticism is that there's not enough toilets! :(

You can walk for hours in the glorious Hampstead Heath which is truly lovely. Great for dog walkers, tourists and locals. Very tranquil and untouched. Good pubs and shops near the tube station. A wonderful way to spend a lazy afternoon.

Hampstead heath is a wonderful outdoor park that is great for jogging or strolling . Ponds for swimming in summer. Great for picnics.

Stayed in Hampstead for 4 days this week, partly to see what the heath itself was like. So much to it that we didn't get a chance to explore everywhere in the end! Plenty of wide paved walkways and also lots of unpaved walks criss...More

Just a short walk from Hampstead High Street is this magnificent park. From the lush canopy's you walk in to a big and hilly open space, via the famous swimming ponds, to Parliament Hill. The view from there is fabulous!

We walked from Kentish town, through the viewpoint to have a swim at the ponds, then back through Roslyn Hill down to Camden town for a drink at Wetherspoons. What a lovely circuit. The heath on a hot day - is pretty unbeatable....the trees! The...More

Managed to fit all three into a very energetic (exhausting) Sunday morning. My other half suggested Hampstead Heath and i wasnt keen but it so wasn't what I expected at all. It's such a surprisingly calm retreat from the city and so lively and cool...More

Hampstead Underground is close to the southern end of the park. It's pretty far down. The lift is slow but don't even think of doing the stairs - you might not be able to race after that. I was heading to Kenwood House in... More

With kids I would opt for the Parliament Hill section with its wide open fields, running track, playground, and swimming pools. Bring blankets and a picnic lunch. There is a Marks and Spencer right next to the Hampstead Bus... More
